does anyone every get so stressed where they feel an immense pain on their nose and it's ready to crush inward? i have that now.

my birthday is coming up and for the first time in years i have made plans...hurray! i got a new job at a dermatologist office which is fun. i get to stand in on surgeries. the other day we had to watch the doctor pop out some cysts. pretty nasty. my new set got rejected. but nevertheless i'm actually going to travel to new york soon and do another one.

their on aristotle, the nicomachean ethics...i have to write an essay by sunday on these.

1) distinguish between the "moral" and "intellectual" virtues, defining and illustrating each type. what part of the sould does eacah belong to? which one is superior according to aristotle?
2) what does aristotle find lacing in pleasure, fame and walth as ends that we should pursue? Since these still seem to be the goals that people today consider important, do you think that Aristotle's ethics is irrelevant for us living now?
3) What are the characteristics that an ultimate end must possess? Define each one according to aristotle. What is the Ultimate End according to aristotle? define it. do you consider this end important for what you view as the good life, or is there something else?
4) what is the function of a human being according to aristotle? this idea is expanded with his doctrine of potentiality and actuality...explain?
5) why does he say.."the wise man..is the most beloved of heaven?"

okay so i didn't read yet but i will now and maybe this will make sense.

oh great answers to my plato stuff. it really helped me grasp it fully. although i have one more question. it's about euthyphro..and socrates. when euthyphro was persecuting his father. the question is whether socrates thinks he is right to persecute his own father or not and explain? so far the book has segments of plato and it cuts off the arguments of socrates. so it doesn't give his final answer or opinion just him trying to pull out the definition of piety and impiety. ?
