Upcoming...
Mardi Gras is just around the corner. Which I have come to dread more than look forward too. Of coarse, I will be a champ and put on a costume and go out. I just wish I didn't have to deal with so many drunk tourists.

1st of many costumes.
Then in April I am hoping to go to San Francisco for a SG shootfest/party!
May brings Hell City Killumbus and a trip to Vegas for me.
Buuuuuuuut I should be updating before then so we can talk about that stuff later.

Wowza you guys rock my world! Thank you for all of the lovely comments and messages. Cherry really out did herself with this one! The house we shot in (a big thanks to Jezel for hooking it up) was featured in a 1969 playboy. It was advertised as the ultimate bachelor pad. I mean really who wouldn't want a shag green conversation pit, a koi pond, and a bunny shaped swimming pool at their house! We shot it basically as soon as I got off the plane in Phoenix. I am in awe that you guys really love it 99%! Holy Cow you really know how to treat a lady!

Hey SG guess what I did...

and

Right now I am so resisting the urge to buy a plane ticket to Columbus for Wizard World/ Halloween Party. I can't really afford it, but I really really want to! I'm starting to think I should just move there considering how much I fly up! I could never leave NOLA though.

Have you met my friend?? Because she is uber hot!
She is brand spanking new to the site, go give her a loving welcome. Also, she has had some issues logging onto her account. I think it would be cool for her to log in and have a whole bunch of love waiting for her.

Alright I'm back from vacation and exhausted!!!
We did so much, every day was surreal. We kept looking at each other saying "is this for real?".
Photo heavy....
The first place we stayed was Jungle Jeanies. The view from our porch was what I posted in my last blog.

From there we went backpacking through the world's only Jaguar Sanctuary, Cockscomb.
our camp...

We hiked 2km straight up a mountain in100% humidity to a beautiful waterfall, Tiger Fern Falls.

I was a total bitch but completely worth it! Look at that thing!
The next day we went on the ATM tour, Actun Tunchil Mucknal. It is spelunking into an ancient Maya sacrificial chamber. We were neck deep in water, squeezing through crevices, over slippery rocks, all the while in a pitch black eerie cave. It was amazing.
I had my camera in the dry chamber...

Even the broken pottery was considered sacrifice to the gods. Each was broken and placed in a very particular fashion. They are all dated to be around 700CE.

As the Mayans became more desperate they went deeper into the cave and began blood/human sacrifice. These remains are from around 950CE.

The "grand finale" as our guide kept calling it, is a woman placed in the birthing position in the far end of the dry chamber. They call her the Crystal Sepulcher, because her bones have become crystalized from the cave.

Really, it was one of the coolest thing I think I have ever experienced. So, eerie, touching, adventurous, scary, amazing, and so many other adjectives.
Next we visited the ruins of Xunantunich, a smaller Mayan ruin (yet still breath taking).

This is the main temple, we climbed to the top of it.

Just to give you a scale of how large it is, look for me at the bottom!

The place we were staying at had an open air dining hall. They put fruit out for the birds everyday.

Toucan!!!
Next we took a small propeller plane to Dangriga.

That's right I rode copilot! I tried not to touch anything!
We stayed on Glover's Atoll for 5 days. There was no power or true showers or true toilets, but it was paradise. We spent most of our time diving, but have yet to have the underwater cameras developed. This is what I have from my Rebel.

Our island.

Our Cabana.

HUGE hermit crabs only came out at night. Which just led to us singing Hall and Oates, "Man Eater" a lot.

Bonfires were had.

When we were diving we were relaxing. So, I nerded out by finishing the Hobbit.

Me and the boy.
When we left the island I was sunburned and tired. BUT it was Dustin's birthday. We headed back to Jungle Jeanies in Hopkins village to celebrate. We met some really interesting people and I think it might have been the only time in two weeks we actually got drunk!!!

Terrible photo, but that is my favorite swim suit.

Shots, shot, shot, shots.

A guy in the bar had the best/worst tattoo ever!
So, now I am home and quite tired. It was so strange not be able to experience my set going into MR. I sometimes get neurotic when they do and check every five minutes to see how they do. It was nice just to let it go and hope for the best. I do love the set so much Alissa and her pups are freaking awesome, and shooting that set was such a blast.
My favorite photo....

Naboo leaping off of my back!
Anywho, I suppose I should get back to the real world.
Much love,

Hello from Belize!
I am having the best vacation ever! I will write a proper blog when I get back to the US, the internet here is kind of finicky. A few of photos to hold you over...

Thanks for all the love on Dog Sitting. I really appreciate it and I'm sure the dogs do too!

I'm taking a much needed vacation!!! The boy and I are going backpacking in Belize. We are camping out in the rainforest. Going spelunking in Mayan ruins. Staying in a cabana with no power over the Caribbean Sea. I will be gone for 2 weeks. I will have limited email access, which is kind of a good thing. Sometimes we all need a little escape. I went to Belize 6 years ago and fell in love with it. Here are some photos from my last trip:

I was such a baby! I can't believe that's me in those photos!!
In other news while I am gone on this crazy awesome mega vacation a little surprise waits for you in MR.

"Dog Sitting" shot by the magnificent Alissa
So make momma proud when she comes home and have a look-see.
Wish me luck in the jungle!!
