Friends out there (USA & CANADA):

Father Murphy whose singer, song writer and Guitar player is my cousin (let me be the proud lil cousin)Freddie Lee are now touring through North America (States & Canada).
Unfortunatly this didnt happen while i was in The States last month, i would have been uber chuffed to see them playing outside of EU.
They are touring together with californian Xiu Xiu and canadian Dirty Beaches.

Well, i am now back to Holland after a adventurous month full of travels, hangs out, sightseeing, exhibitions, (LOT OF) shooting , and many many new beautiful people in my life!

I am so agitated. Travelling is so overwhelming sometimes.
I am goin to fly to London tomorrow morning. I havent packed yet.

My dear friend designer Barbara D' Altoe' whose Clothing and Accessories Collection is enterly made by recycled materials such as bike and car tyres will have a booth and a catwalk with her brand new Collection.
Also our beloved talented Hezza will be at the Alternative Fashion Wk with her own Lingerie Collection.

Lately my life has been full of new amazing people, new friends, new places, new projects, new publications.
Im chuffed and stoked about it!
I have been recently to San Francisco, probably my new fave city.
SF has been literally just a wonderful adventure, Thanks to Saint who offered me her place for my entire staying. She hosted a bunch of SGs (i bet you all know already everything about it) + our boys DarrylDarko, seahorse and Hilthread for an entire wk end. 2days lived at their fullest, fun, hard work, and NO DRAMA!


San Francisco has been about: organic food // bike riding // Ocean // hang outs with Juliana, Buellher, Saint, spliff, Cruella, and a bunch of their friends // divey bars // windy nights out // cooking dinner for me and Saint // TONS of photoshoots.
I've FINALLY met Quinne, Rambo, havana and a bunch of super lovely Cali and Mid/east Girls and Vesta!

HERE I AM!

I tried to blog for about a week and i kept on failing.
Although in a hurry i sneaked a look at all the comments you wolves and bears and birds have left on my new set! Such an undeniable blissful feeling!
I am awaken for almost 18 hours now, i havent got any break today (well, to make coffee and a quick meal which i drank and ate in front of my laptop). I am fine, happy, busy, i feel creative and need to be productive more and more...

Since ever i have been fashinated by Africa, this huge continent of warm colors, habitat of my very fave animals. A paradise of uncontamineted places, landscapes, smells, colors, traditions, body modifications, tribal awereness. Since i was a little kid the only things i watched on the telly were documentaries about Africa.
I always wanted my family to adopt a liltte black sister. Eventually my parents are now long-distance adopting a teenager in Ruanda
My 5 years relationship with an half eritrean boy has been indeed a confirmation about all my interest and fondness about the black culture. i was just 18 when we met. I was so in love with him it almost felt unreal. I have spent lots of days at his familiy, eating traditional eritrean meals, drinking african tea with his granny and trying to learn such a difficult language 'tigrino' is.
Its funny how confidentially this blog has begun, don't even know why i am typing this
but it feels so confortable
However this has something to do with what my mind has been wondering today. I was thinking about the new year (not only as 2012 but as future), what my ambitions and plans are, new travels, new destinations, new photographic works... a lot accured to my head i had to make a list on my sketchbook.
One of the thing which would make me feel complete, happy, fulfilled and satisfied is a time off from my life which is full of work//shooting/cooking/sport/alchool/concerts/ (and of course much more) and travel to africa to be a volunteer. For a while i wanna dedicate my time to others and less to myself. I wanna submerge myself into their lives, culture, tradition, cuisine. I know it might be a big plan, cos i am quite reluctant on attending any christian organizations. I know there are TONS of different organizations, not governative ones for istance..definitely a better option
Lets see how things are evolving on my side in the coming months/year and hopefully sooner rather than later i will make this dream come true. It will take its time, i can feel it, but the fact that i have such a radical feeling about it make me already feel rather content.

Apparently Technology has a soul.
My macbook Pro died.
Its actually still working but its screen looks like a lost match on tetrix.
Video card got fucked up and the only thing i could do is to back up everything.
Indeed it happened while working on some important photography work which was supposed to be done and finished within today.

Summer adventures are still on the way, lot of happening in the last few months. Life keeps me busy and i feel good. I have been reflecting a lot lately and it literaly feels great. Im not a person whose thoughts and emotions are easily written down on a public space. I might sound like a superficail buddy, im quite the opposite instead.

My last week in Italy, my mother land, then back to Holland. A new work/life term is about to take off. First of all i will be in London at the end of the month (28th sept til oct10th) and i will attend to the UK SG VACATION with dozens of you! im so chuffed i can hardly keep it quiet! Thank you guys for the invitation!
