parrrrty time!!! why did this photo come out like this?! i love it though :]
not feeling great, so took the day off. then i cleaned everything! whats the point in being off if you're just going to clean stuff? should've just stayed in bed!!
i've been doing A LOT of DIY. i've totally redone my room. i have oak floorboards, new oak furniture, a purple rug, 3 white walls and one purple wall, flower lights. it took a lot of work. i had to replaster some stuff, rip out an old somehow-built-into-the-walls wooden cupboard, then sand, fill, paint and rehang the door, get new skirting boards, paint everything, get furniture, wax furniture, put it together. they delivered a double bed with a single mattress (doi!) so i had to wait ages before they re-delivered the right mattress. its awesome-comfy though. i never had a nice room before, its always been furniture from skips or charity shops, mismatched stuff, badly painted walls. its super nice to have it all new and matching like this. i bought an orchid, it kind of matches the room. now its all finished, it all feels complete, and i love going to bed and being in my room. its been a lot of work, im gonna give it a break for a few weeks. then i want to make curtains, then itll be done. purple curtains obviously! i should really shoot a set here. doing up a bedroom = not very rock'n'roll, but i'm still a bit proud of all my efforts.
im gonna make curtains, and i might even make built-in wardrobes. i made some cupboards downstairs. it turns out im pretty good at this kind of thing. :]
still loving game of thrones, but needed a new show to fill the gap. watched the first episode of Sherlock yesterday. sherlock stuff is always a bit too clever-clever-look-at-me, and this was no exception ( "Oh, look at you lot. You're all so vacant. Is it nice not being me? It must be so relaxing."), but it was still great. fast paced. love it. benedict cumberbatch: great actor, unusual eyes, weird name.
It finally got hot this weekend! I think it was like 21 degrees or something. Having cycled every day for the last few months, I wasn't self-conscious going out in a little summer dress, which was nice. Hurray for summer! Hurray for me being a bit more fit! I want to wear (next to) nothing outside every day!!! And I can't wait to go to some festivals. And camping, I miss camping! Hot weather does strange things to me.

i just woke up
looking forward to the new sofia coppola movie (bling ring). i watched lick the star on youtube but i still havent seen somewhere.
i'm feeling very grounded at the moment. my life feels like its started to come together. it was impeded by all my uncertainty and that big old economic crisis. im very grateful for the solidity of my current situation. im in general happier than ive ever been. this is nice. year by year my life gets better.
im about to buy a new bike. ive had so many rubbish bikes! my current one had the gears stolen and its such a hassle to get up the hill. so a new bike is in order. also, i really want to go to budapest this summer.
im loving the new series of game of thrones!!! im obsessed.

I bought this print by Reuben Ireland and I love it.

I saw swans.

Then I drank gin and went to this 80s night dressed in black lace and sky high heels... There's been lots of going out. Its January, you've gotta do something to stave off the winter blues. I'm supposed to be going to this burlesque night this weekend, and the theme is vintage/20s/burlesque/carnival/decadence... I'm not sure what to wear!!! I don't want to buy a trashy corset from a costume shop... I want it to be sexy AND classy, and a little bit weird. Maybe I could make antlers for myself? (Inspired by my new print!) Or perhaps a venetian mask is required? Or massive ostrich-feather fans? I don't know. Ideas on a postcard please!!!

I fell off my bike and grazed my elbow, boo! I lost a bit of my tattoo. :[
Should I let it heal dry, or some ointment or something, or a plaster? What's best?
Oh well. It's part of the game, and I'm enjoying getting more fresh air. I didn't make any New Years Resolutions but maybe its just that time of year where I start pretending to love healthy food and exercise?

2 Vikings, One Cup!
I love Sake, its my favorite alcoholic drink. One Cup Ozeki sake comes in this little glass jar. I wish they sold sake in pubs, I have to go to the Korean supermarket near me. They sell it in some of the Chinese shops too, but different brands. I want to try them all. I wish I could go to a sake tasting. Maybe there's one in London soon?
2012 started out well, I shot some sets with P_mod and got a few new tattoos (a tooth and key on my arm, and a daruma doll on my knee). After that, the year was not really going well, a bit slow, a bit difficult. I got another tattoo later, I think in August? A purple spiderweb on my elbow from Dani. I love this tattoo artist and I want to get a lot more from her. I love tattoos and I definitely would love more coverage. They all mean so much to me, but I prefer to keep the meanings to myself. From October onwards everything seemed to come together. It's been great since then, but it all happened very fast. I managed to do things I've always wanted to do, and I feel way more successful these days. I think it's all gonna be good from now on, and I have a lot more stability in my life. I feel very positive about the future now, seems like my good luck streak can only continue. I hope everyone else had a good 2012, I know lots of my friends didn't, sorry guys. :[ Here's to 2013 though! Even betterer! I wish everyone all the bestest and wonderfulnessest. Do you think this will be a good year for you? I hope 2013 is the year of the Happiness Tour for you!
