Two weeks ago I took a trip out to the east coast. Originally it was meant to be a quick trip to Atlanta to see a friend, it turned out being a 2425 mile long road trip!

I was being a little bahumbugy about the whole ordeal and my best friends surprised me with a camping trip to my happy place, Mammoth Lakes.

While we were out one night, we stopped in the middle of a really dark road to do some bulb exposure work!
I was so ecstatic, needless to say, and it's so hard to be back in the real world again!
I'm thinking about selling some of those night shots as prints, along with these:

It's late..
Or early.... Depends on what side of sleep you are I suppose..
My best friend and I talked today for the first time in ages. I moved, from the city where we both lived, about 3 months ago and I have heard and seen even less from her than I did when I thought I was never seeing or hearing from her. She told me she got off her medications (I am very for, not into psycho-drugs) but that she has been feeling extremely suicidal as of late. This upset me greatly, needless to say. She jokingly said that the world would be better off without her, (I hate melodrama, no matter how serious the threat) I told her the world as a whole would more than likely neither hinder nor benefit from her absence, but that I would be devastated beyond comprehension.
I'm not sure if thats the best approach to take.
Either way, I miss her dearly. Its hard to completely reset your life, despite how much of an improvement it is. New friends, new places, new sounds, and sights.
I have learned a few things about myself through the course of things though,
1. I love/need wide open spaces.
2. I don't like busy cities.
More like a couple, rather than a few..
I do feel as though I have lost a lot of my spark in almost every facet of my day to day life. This is the first year I can honestly say I am not at all looking forward to my birthday... I can't even find the inspiration to create anything. I have been trying though, simple things like still life or trying to make what I see in my head translate onto paper..
I haven't been too impressed with any of it.. Any one have any good ways to jump start your brain and get back into the grove?

I couldn't be more excited about one thing... Radeo's coming to town... Let me forewarn you, there will be copious amounts of shenanigans.

I have a new set in member review, you cannot view it from my profile because

It's a multi. The multi. The multi that I have been waiting to shoot since I first fell in love with Kemper.
The set is called Lov. Which is not a spelling error of the word love, but a secret word that means a lot to her and I.
Hildreth Did us the honor of shooting it for us, and did the best job I could ever imagine.

Here are some miscellaneous picture for the last month:
The coffee shop i've been frequenting does latte art, I decided to start keeping track of all of the designs I've received
Also, I discovered the game DrawSomething.. I've been taking it a bit too seriously
I'm not sure if you have noticed by now, but Kemper and I have had a bit of a love affair going on for a little while.. We had a chance, last week, to get together with Kenny Sweeney, an amazing photography in LA, and shoot a little video for you guys.. The video isn't ready yet, however here are a few teasers from behind the scenes:
I am in the process of moving right now, my life is a bit upside down at the moment but I am trying to keep a positive outlook on life. It can be hard, especially with my tendency to dote on the negative, and get anxious and home sick at the drop of a hat. I am beginning to think that sometimes you have to cut some live wood off in order to shed all of the dead wood..
