just keep trying! at the time i was looking to move, i had a dog and a cat. it was super tough to find a cheap place that allowed dogs. honestly i was looking on and off for a year before i found the right place. (prlly wouldn't have taken that long if i hadn't had 2 possible places/roommates crap out on me).

Try looking in the pacific beach/Crown Point areas, there are a lot of cozy little surf houses scattered throughout that area, plus landlords of those types of property are usually pretty cool as far as pets go, or just dont tell them at all that you have pets cause as long as you pay rent on time, they dont ever come around. I have a couple buddies that do that. The thing with those types of places is many of the landlords wont put up listings online, they'll just put up the signs outside and wait for the locals to talk to one another. Thats quite literally how my brother and all of his friends do it, but then again were local. Try taking a drive through that area and just looking for FOR RENT signs, hope I helped gorgeous.

when we did it with 2 large dogs in nor-cal we had to rent a house in a shitty part of town (well lets just say a shitty city)...but we did find one....good luck

Just go to the neighborhood you are interested in and walk around. There's lots of great stuff here in North Park that is pet friendly. I'm not sure where you are looking but it sounds like you'll need a house rather than an apartment so that will definitely guide what areas you should look at.
