Followed up by my weekly stop by the snake store, a clutch of Argentine Boas were just hatched!!! Sooo cute!


And feisty!


On sunday i went to the SD zoo and guys. Can i tell you, it was magical.


I made a friend.

This was the real reason we went down to the zoo:

Okay so this is a little strange.. I had a dream I was having a huge art opening at some gallery for my paintings? (no i am not a painter..) Anyways, I had to finish this one big piece for the show and I woke up the next morning and completely remembered what i was painting in the dream so i figured i would try to create it!

Not sure how many of you are down in San Diego, but for those of you that aren't let me explain,
last night was bullshit.
I headed down to work and stopped to grab a bite to eat at a super cute vegan restaurant called
The Loving Hut

The power was out at the restaurant, which was strange, but their kitchen was on gas so it was still up and running.
I proceed to the club and was greeted by the news of a wide spread "no end in site" style black out! Now I was almost an hour away from home and on low gas reserves!!
Naturally i ended up stuck without gas at some mall parking lot almost halfway home

After an hour of battling the hundreds of people trying to phone for help i managed to get a hold of a near by friend who picked me up and let me borrow her car to go all the way up to where i live (the only area seemingly unaffected) to get gas cans and gas! (ps: go buy a gas can now. 5 gallons or bigger.) when the power goes out they were the first thing off the shelf in a 60 mile radius!! (thankfully i had a big one at home)

With gas in tow, I was back on my way (another hour) down to San Diego to pick up my car and give my friends back..

This has made me how aware of how unprepared for disaster i am! Im going to pick up a huge barrel and fill it with uncooked rice, beans, water, flour, batteries, a radio, and maybe get myself a gun? I like guns.. *drool
Apocalypse here i come.
