I really don't understand why people are against gay marriage...it's not really any of their buisness, and how can they present an opinion on a subject to which they have no familiarity with? I've really had enough of all this negativity in regards to the subject. You're not gay, so don't make decisions for those who are, plain and simple. 50 years ago they're wouldn't have been a black president, so it's obvious that we've evolved both psychologically and ideologically. Gay marriage will in no way harm the economy, the environment, or the physical well being of the citizens of this nation. If anything, it promotes a positive view of marriage and acceptance, and allows gay couples everywhere the chance to express their love equally, and under the eyes of God, family, and Government. What makes it so wrong? For those among you who believe that the 18 000 gay couples who were married in California should be forced to divorce, I have this to say to you: If homosexuality is a sin, then what does that make divorce?
I do not consider myself an activist of any kind, I'm the very opposite of a feminist, and I was raised Christian and still attend service every Sunday. I was married at 19, and lived in a military republican bible belt town. I don't care much about politics, and I avoid confortation of any kind at all costs. Consider all of this a completely objective point of view.
That's really all I have to say about that.
