That's bad news. My roommate in college was blind due to glaucoma. Fortunately, treatments have gotten better since then, and finding it early means controlling it with medication. Good luck!

I'm really sorry to hear about your diagnosis. And I'm not trying to make it any less than what it is, but Glaucoma isn't what it used to be. There have been real advances in medicine and technology and this can be dealt with. But you can count on support here. Vent whenever you have to. You're gonna get through this.

I can relate. I have a lot of annoying health issues that I really wish I didn't get in my early 20s. One is an eye condition that I need to use weekly steroid drops for, one of the high risks of them is Glaucoma so I feel like that's just a matter of time. A lot of eye treatments have come a long way in the last few years, hang in there.
