You are the first person that's ever publicly admitted liking Eccleston as the Doctor. You are addicted.

I think it's one of the best stand alone single episodes of TV out there. The first time I watched it I started noticing every time my blink reflex kicked in, I was sitting on my couch with my heart pounding.

And it has so many good little intellectual things that are what draw me to doctor who. The video chat, timey winey things, the nicest assasins, they let you live to death line. The end where she hands him the bag of notes and stuff and he has no idea of the context but understands anyway. How little of the episode the main characters of the show are in it, not many other shows could pull that off.

To me Doctor Who is a collection of great little ideas, or little bits of interesting writing.

I'm a recent Whovian convert myself. Such a brilliant show. I'm just having a very hard time avoiding the season 7 spoilers...

Rather Eccleston than Matt Smith though to be fair it's probably more Moffats writing than Smith that puts me off him as the Doctor. That and Tennant is brilliant is all the right ways.

Have you had the experience of watching "The Last Detective" and then thinking "who the fuck is that actor anyway, just can't place him."

Probably not, because "The Last Detective" and the Davison Whos were separated by decades. But I had that experience. I never much liked Davison as the Doctor but I did like Tegan. A bunch.

I'm still a Tom Baker fan. I haven't started watching the new Doctor Whos, actually, although I've seen about a dozen episodes of Torchwood and like it quite a bit.
