Well in a perfect world it wouldn't matter one does nude modeling or hell even porn. It's all about celebrating sex, life and the human form. Sadly this world is full of prudes who have nothing better then to bitch about stuff like that but as you pointed out with modern technology I don't know if those pics/vids/whatever will ever disappear. You're probably doing all you can do to limit such exposure.

I say own it. Trying to hide it ever existed is weird and icky, in my opinion. I think if you were going into teaching, you'd have to worry about it more. I don't think healthcare in anyway would care. I'm entering into the healthcare field and nothing's come up for me. My classmates know about what I do online and no one has said anything. I say don't worry about it, but then again, this is your life. You'll know what's best. I don't think people are really going to care about it... but you could always disappear from the internet altogether. I've been thinking about that myself lately but I'm not ready yet. Maybe in a few years when I'm married and about to start a family. It'll happen, but I'm not sure when. I figure if anything online "comes out" anywhere in the real world, I'll flaunt it and generally just deal with it as it comes. I think "damage control" now, for me, would be premature.

While I think that eventually a problem from these images could find their way to your door, I also think that owning it and even mentioning it where relevant is the better pre-emptive choice than trying to track down every image that anyone has ever copied to another site illegally &c.

I am reminded of Waylon Jennings' first TV appearance, which was on the Johhny Cash show. Before the show he went to Cash and said: "I don't want to go on, I'm starting to make a little money from this music thing, but sooner or later people will find out I did 10 years [I think that was the number] for armed robbery -- and my career will be over.

There's a few angles.
If you're working in a professional environment, banter, comments, posts, emails etc of a graphic and explicit nature are frowned upon. anyone banging on about your past, photos or sets, if you haven't brought it out the open, will have to admit guilt to browsing porn. How esle would they know? This becomes all the more awkward if you've done fetish, if they're that prudish letting the cat out of the bag is also admitting source knowledge.

I'm not sure what sort of environment you work in. It's not uncommon for HR to scope your history. You could run about like a blue assed fly deleting and purging. There's always the chance that images remain. Go back to paragraph one...

Im not sure about US workplace laws but in Australia you can't refuse to hire someone based on their past unless there's some law that they've transgressed which makes them unfit. How's this, just don't mention it, your employer can't really ask you if it's not on your CV. You can always use the 'that's not me card' once favoured by Hollywood stars before getting your kit off and video taping your sexual exploits was the shit.

Finally celebrate who you are, your achievements, the flower that is your youth, unadorned by the veil of shame cast by religion and outdated social mores. You can't mitigate against everything, roll with it.

I dont think it matters much these days, unless things are a lot different where you live. I've worked with women in professional positions who have been both nude models and strippers and no one seemed to care much as long as they did their job. The only place I have ever come across discrimination about stuff like that is vet clinics.

That is a quandery indeed. To some work environments it would matter and to others it would. I don't think the coworkers that stumbled upon your pictures would be the type to care, but, on the other hand, if they're dicks they could try and blackmail you. If you had a highly religious boss it could be a big deal. You're kind of in a damned if you do, damned if you don't position on getting the pics off the internet. Once the internet has it, its next to impossible to remove it. You can do things to minimize your current internet footprint like what you were saying. Another thing you could also do if you want would be to change any profile name that you can that has even a portion of your name in it to something else. That could make it slip by a routine background check. If they did a serious one though it would be impossible to hide it.

Congrats on earning the Master's. You do make a very bad ass Black Widow. As for the internet modeling thing, you already know that hiding your past never works. Eventually the cat gets out of the bag and honestly the best thing you can do is own it as a part of your past. If it comes up it is best to be honest because what always gets people in trouble is the cover up, not the act. You'll learn that in the real work world people are just as gossipy, petty and vindictive as they are in the modeling world. They all have skeletons in their closets and will cut each other's throats to get ahead faster than you've ever seen before. Furthermore it will come down to who likes you plain and simple.

congrats on graduating and you do make a great Black Widow. As far as your problem, nobody on here can actually give you advice based on anything other than their opinion. Personally I'd like to think that your personal time is yours, but I've already been burnt from that one at work a couple times. Mine wasn't quite as serious as yours of course but I know the general concept of what you could eventually deal with. Nothing on the internet is personal or private, no matter how hard you try there will always be a trace of it somewhere for them to find. Of course one point I saw above is that if anyone found any of these pictures they would have to admit that they were looking at porn to out you, but in the end it's all up to you whether you want to continue being who you are or try to hide the past and become the person you think they want you to be. I probably wasn't any help to you, but I for one would like to see you stick around, you look great naked.

I agree with SilverCharmer Tori, it's a part of who you are and always will be. You're an incredibly beautiful woman with a gorgeous figure and the fact that you posed starkers is testimony as to how beautiful you truly are. You're a SG, a damn fine one and a dear friend and I think that if anyone did/does find out it really doesn't matter. Some women here have kids, husbands, etc and they pose nude despite the consequences, which are in my opinion irrelevant.

Of course I'll stand behind any decision you make, that's what friends are for. By the way I'm proud of you for graduating, so proud.

As for the pics, honestly, if I'm hiring someone and the candidate comes between someone who has never done anything cool, or someone who either did something like nude modeling, got pretty far in a sport, was in a band, etc., I'd take the person who is INTERESTING over the person who did nothing 100% of the time.

Be proud of who you are and what you've done. The world would be better off if all the boring people were put on an island and the island was nuked.

Try to remove your name from everything you feel might hinder your job search. When employers run your information (mainly your name) through various background check algorithms and boolean searches what will show up are search results that have your legal name attached to it. The likely hood they will know your various screen names or that they will be able to stumble upon them through searching your legal name is slim at best as long as they arent anywhere obvious such as your facebook (especially Facebook) or myspace or whatever you kids are using nowadays.
As for facial recognition software that can somehow search the vast database of billions of photos that are scattered all over the internet, thats no where near ready to be used on the consumer level. Dr. Paul Ekman whose behavioral "micro expression" psychology research which has been the most integral factor in the construction of powerful facial recognition software has admitted himself that such technology is far from the point where the average consumer can use it. That type of facial recognition software is only utilized by the Feds, NSA and other government agencies such as that. But if your trying to become a CIA assassin or G-Woman than you might be out of luck.
Point being that as long as you keep your nude modeling spread apart over various sites on the internet and separate from your legal name and not post it on obvious sites (Facebook, twitter, etc...) than you really shoudnt have any reason to worry.

Work is a very important thing, especially these days (I live in Italy ... and here the situation is not the best) .... I would not give advice .... but I think it's important to do something that makes you happy, so I wish you all the best in the world, whatever the way you choose!A great hug from Italy!!!!
