yeah I think I seen the same show. Stuff like that freaks me out for many reasons. Mainly
A) Kids should be kids running round with their finger up there nose or something
B) The parents are total under achiving nutters trying to live their lives through their kids.
C)Lets be honest its just fucking creepy seeing kids do that and has serious overtones of something else!!!

Y'know, I think I saw the same programme during my Uni years during a stoned night in with some flatmates - I remember getting seriously creeped out by it.
My own view is that even though I take underachievement to a new level that, in the unlikely event I ever have kids, I'm not gonna try and compensate through them. In fact, I'll probably spend all their childhood exalting the benefits of being a lazy get to them. Although I do intend to get the little buggers listening to WASP and Maiden records from an early age to prevent them turning into chavs. 'Cos that's just common sense.
i find it so interesting but disturbing that children are presented in this way- i have no idea what they could be judged on honestly they dont look real, makes me all warm and happy that my mam let me roll about in dirt and eat bugs till i was 11 x
The My Name is Earl episode comes to mind where he's the victim of a painful knife throwing accident due to a child beauty pageants talents not being so great.
I used to do a load of drama and stuff and the kids with pushy parents were always odd. Poor little bastards

It chills me to my very core, i think i saw the same documentary
I saw that documentary and the whole thing is just so warped its untrue.
For some of these people their children winning this somehow justifies their existance and all the shitty choices they've made in life.
So stealing their kids childhood seems a small price to pay.
