today.... today i was almost an hour late to work because i must have turned my alarm off in my sleep. no good considering i'm kissing ass in a major way to try and make this position more than temporary. by the time i got there, i was pretty pissed off at myself.
work, fortunately, was alright. busy enough to make it go quickly, but not so busy that it was frantic.
after work i had a 'band practice', i guess. some guys that i've been talking band with for a couple weeks came over to teach me some of their songs. this was kind of a big deal for me considering that one of my BIG hang-ups is playing in front of other people. ESPECIALLY when i don't have music in front of me.
fortunately, mr. band #1 is a very easy going guy and knows how to make people feel comfortable. playing was no problem and i picked up the bass lines pretty quickly. the only difficulty i had was when he asked me to sing. his buddy had to leave the room for a little while, but he took it like a champ.
either way, for the most part it went well, and now i'm not only stoked about being a band (!), but also because i'm working on something that's held me back in the past. don't we all feel warm and fuzzy inside now. everyone pat yourselves on the back. there you go....

Pats on the back for you indeed, singing in front of people is some scary shit. Putting your guts out there for other people to appraise.

That stuff disturbs me (more for you! 
) so I never would have thought of that being something somebody couldn't be without.

Hey dont worry about that stage fright... that all goes out the window after 3 beers ...jump around a lot also, that works for me, the crazier the better...
maybe just try singing if your having trouble with playing at the same time.
just have fun!!!!
