just started reading "the man who was thursday" by G.K. Chesterton today. interesting indeed.
i found it one day when i was standing in the local lesbian friendly bookstore trying to buy a coursebook. they had a little cart of super-reduced books by the register so i pawed through it and found this. a sign perhaps?
either way, i picked it up because it was cheap and i was hoping i could get some cool quotes out of it. we'll see.

I actually don't smoke flavored tobacco. I forswore tobacco and heroin in 6th grade and have stuck to it thus far, for better or for worse. My house-mates smoke the gooey stuff outta the hookah though, and I gotta say, it smells really pleasant.

Ah, you commented just as I updated my journal. Good thing I went back and checked, eh?
We're going to have to work on this attitude thing; let's see if we can cultivate some real anger in you. Because you know, I just can't respect anyone who isn't a hateful, cynical misanthrope.....now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go to sleep, with my stuffed animals. smile

The Man Who Was Thursday is an excellent read. And you should have no trouble finding good quotes.

I also recommend Chesterton's Father Brown stories. Nothing at all like the typical British mystery fare. And also a source of excellent quotes, such as: "It seemed somehow that politicians were very important. And yet, anything seemed important about them except their politics."

Enjoy the book!

Hmm, I think it is a sign! Of what though...

Ah yes, healing of piercings, I'm really hating that myself these days. But then it should in theory be over soon. I seem to heal them incredibly poorly. Tattoos though, like a flash. Week, tops.

I. H.ate A.cronyms. wink (well, not always, they tend to be like in-jokes)

Did you watch that?

Tell me if you liked "Raking Leaves." There's nothing better than watching the star of TV's most wholesome show ("Ed" on CBS) rub her crotch and say, "Yeah, cowboy. Fuck that ass, fuck it."

I don't know where yet...need a roomie...want to live a little further from my X...probably on the eastside near morrison & 39th or something...have a friend out there & it seems pretty cool...I am on probation...& i can move just have to let them know...if I want to leave the state I have to wait a little bit...til I get done with anger management & divorse...after that I will be on bench probation...which is really unsupervised...
