Today my my Muni ride was actually pleasant. Maybe because I was a little drunk. There were cute kids, and I could hear Journey through someone else's headphones, and I saw a guy dancing like he was at a disco instead of standing on the platform in the heat. It was even kind of... fun.
Now I'm at home and I think I'm going to shower, eat a homemade burrito, and read Gossip Girl some more. Maybe I'll go out later. But probably not.

I am back from Extreme Epic Roadtrip 2008 with Adam_Vincent.
We went to many places. Here is a list of them:
-Camping outside Eureka. We were supposed to camp in Humboldt National Forest but our directions were wrong and we ended up outside Eureka. Note to self: Google requires an exact address!
-Camping at the big sand dunes on the Oregon coast, near Coos Bay. We hiked 6 miles roundtrip across the dunes to the beach and back- surreal, gorgeous scenery and quite a work out.
-Stayed at Hopey's house. She and her husband are amazing and we had a great time. It's great to see two non-boring people making the small town, married with kids life work for themselves. Hopey has been one of my pals on here for a few years but I haven't seen her in person since Prom 2006ish. It was radical to see her again.
-Portland!! We stayed with Erica and Venice. Their house is so adorable, and they have the CUTEST pets possible. Plus they were great hostesses and showed us some rad stuff.
-While in Portland we went to the Acropolis, Union Jack's, Mary's, The Know, Matador, Florida Room, Plan B, B Side, and possibly some other bars I can't remember. Plus countless delicious eateries and coffee shops. Hotcake House and Voodoo Donuts were tops. Acropolis has steak for $5. We hung out with Jane_Tee and former SG Nestor a bit too. Portland is definitely rad.
-Next we headed up to Seattle for Bumbershoot, where we helped (or tried to help) Lil_Tuffy sell his nifty posters at Flatstock 18. Saturday I started drinking at 9 am, had a total of 6 drinks, and made myself ill by following a funnel cake with a Sparks. We also ate at Honey Hole and Unicorn Crepes. Tuffy is one of my favorite people so I always get a kick out of helping with his poster crap. Sometimes I think I am more of a hindrance as potential customers seem to think I am really creepy. OH WELLZ.
Now we are back in SF. Maybe I will post again another time with all the almost-comical problems we had on the trip.

I used to think I should save up my creativity and not waste it on things I didn't care about much.
Lately I'm learning that the more often you use your creativity, the more you have to create.
Everyone says you should write every day, even if only for ten minutes. I've been doing it for the last week and it gets easier and easier. The more I do it the more I feel like I have to write as much as I have to brush my teeth, or eat.
Today I meant to go to the gym but took a two hour nap instead. I also took my friend's Yorkie for a two hour walk (kinda got lost in the park- whoops!) so I guess I'm doing okay.

Let's say, hypothetically, I was to dye my hair a different color. What color might look good?
Oh, who am I kidding, I'm never going to dye my hair a different color. You'll pry my peroxide out of my shrivelled, balding hands.

I went canoeing with some SGSF friends. It was really fun. It was one of those days where every hour or so I would pause and think "Man, I am having a lot of fun!" It was not the usual bunch of people I do stuff with and it was good to get to know them better/ at all.
Adam and I have not been too flush this summer but things are starting to turn around. Soon I may be able to start seriously paying down my credit card.
My copy editing class is winding down. I like editing a great deal. I may start doing more editing for my friend's online magazine, Is > Than.
I wonder how long I have to be out of school before I stop counting the years by falls and summers?
LINK FIXED.

"Man is fond of counting his troubles, but he does not count his joys. If he counted them up as he ought to, he would see that every lot has enough happiness provided for it."

I got paid cash money to pillow fight with hot girls last night. Sometimes being an SG is totally worth it.
