A great thing I've seen to go along with this is.. "Just because you said "with all due respect", doesn't mean you get to say whatever you want"." I'm not sure where it's from, but it's true. If you're going to disrespect someone (which I don't advocate), at least have the courage to not hide behind a phrase that attempts to make it seem harmless.
Just noticed we're friends again. So damaged. You know I always despised pop punk and the whole West Bay but I respected it while I was there. So devoted to the East Coast though. You guys have never had a real hardcore band out there. It's no shame, it has come back in many facets over the years of gentrification.
Or "I don't mean to be rude but...(I'm going to be really rude and offensive anyway)", and "Of course you're entitled to your opinion" which translates as "Doesn't matter whether you're entitled to it or not, I've already dismissed it as a pile of crap"
