A great thing I've seen to go along with this is.. "Just because you said "with all due respect", doesn't mean you get to say whatever you want"." I'm not sure where it's from, but it's true. If you're going to disrespect someone (which I don't advocate), at least have the courage to not hide behind a phrase that attempts to make it seem harmless.

Every time I hear "With all due respect," all I can think is, Oh, this is gonna be rich. Apply eye-rolling where appropriate.

"Not to be dick..."

It will shock you not at all to learn that lawyers use that phrase all the time.

I hear it seldom theses days, perhaps due to a lack of Lawyers in my life.

People don't like to own being a dick when they know they're being a dick.

This is the phrase most often heard being uttered at Chavez Ravine by Dodger fans when conversing with Giant fans. True story.

Just noticed we're friends again. So damaged. You know I always despised pop punk and the whole West Bay but I respected it while I was there. So devoted to the East Coast though. You guys have never had a real hardcore band out there. It's no shame, it has come back in many facets over the years of gentrification.

Or "I don't mean to be rude but...(I'm going to be really rude and offensive anyway)", and "Of course you're entitled to your opinion" which translates as "Doesn't matter whether you're entitled to it or not, I've already dismissed it as a pile of crap"
