It has been a crazy couple of weeks.
We went on the Spider Murphy's shop camping/ canoe trip. It was super mega fun! But I drank way too much and didn't eat or drink enough water, and on July 3rd I found myself with a fever and pain in my side. 13 hours at the hospital, a CT scan, an ultrasound, and an IV later, and it turns out I had a kidney infection. They didn't really say how I got it - I assure you I wasn't having wild sex or holding my pee for too long or whatever normally gives people kidney infections. It was pretty weird. The doctors thought it was appendicitis which was scary because I would have had to have emergency surgery. But, it was a kidney infection.
So, 10 days of antibiotics, no alcohol, and extremely limited caffeine. Since coffee is my reason for living that part has sucked. But I will be all better soon.
In more positive news Paul Dobleman started a massive tattoo of two fighting gamecocks on my thigh. I will post pictures when it's finished.
And in the best news of all, we are fostering a teeny chihuahua named Lola. She is so cute and sweet and goofy. It will be hard to give her up when we find her a home.
