So it turns out, I saw a UFO this morning.
It was roughly 5:45am, I was waiting outside my house for a ride to work, when I looked up to the sky and saw this perfect swirl of light, slowly move its way over the sky. I was hoping that my friend would hurry up and arrive to pick me up so I could show her! She arrived a few moments too late.
I got to work and everyone laughed at me when I mentioned the sighting. I had convinced myself it was an aircraft (I live near a flight path) and joked along with them.
Over 12 hours later I mention the sighting to my parents, and my mum replied shocked "Did you see it?". I thought she was taking the piss out of me, until she said she had seen it on the news.
Apparently it was a rocket launched from Cape Canaveral, although there are mixed reports about the time that it would have passed over Australia if the rocket was even pointed in this direction.
I'm FAR from saying that Aliens exist. It was just an incredible sight, and I feel almost privileged to have seen it
I tried to take a photograph and video footage on my iPhone, but it just didn't work. Sadly these media photos do NOT do it any justice!
