Well, LA was awesome. I always have a good time when I hang with those girls down there. Wendy and I stayed in the Roosevelt hotel which was excitement enough on it's own! We even planned on shooting a set there but we were going to do it late one night and we ended up ordering food and wine and getting fat and sassy. We didn't feel like doing naked pictures after all that. But man, that hotel is something!! Maybe next time we'll do it right and I'll have some pics of the hot-ass chick to post.

It was also great meeting and hanging out with Sloane. It's also always great to see my sexy Amina and we paid a nice visit to Sawa. I love those ladies. I got to meet a bunch of other cool girls at the anniversary party but I can't think of all their names at this moment so I won't bother listing them in case I forget any! Needless to say there was some hotness piled up in that club. I didn't get to see Paris Hilton but according to this story she was there as were a bunch of other celebs. I didn't see any of them except Dave Navarro who was onstage with his crappy band and Sarah Silverman who I normally love but was testing out all her new material on us and was not that funny. Good thing the SG burlesque show was so good! I really loved seeing those girls dance and I was expecting to not like it because I'm a bit bitter but the show was awesome. And my costumes worked really well and fit all the girls perfectly. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures at this show but hopefully I'll get some when they come through SF next week. I'm still kicking myself for not bringing my camera to the show.

Back to work tomorrow. I really need to figure out how to get back to freelancing and make enough money. I'm starting with doing some costuming for a movie and also by becoming a sales rep for this clothing company: Peeler Gear. It's really cute so hopefully we'll start selling it and I can quit my day job!! Let me know if you know any boutiques that might be interested in ordering it! A lot of celebritites are already wearing their clothes so I think that's a good sign. In fact, my favourite competitor from my second favourite TV show was seen wearing one of their tops: Storm Large on Rockstar Supernova.

Speaking of reality television, my very favourite show right now is Project Runway. So much so that I actually pay to download them on iTunes. I don't have television so I get my TV fix online. My next career plan is to audition for that show so if I do you all have to tune in and watch! I'm hoping to cause some controversy by the discovery that I'm posing nude on the internet!! Imagine the drama that would unfold after that. That ought to make for good reality tv! I think I could rock that show and since I'm generally making a dress the night before my runway shows I have lots of practice for the stress that show puts on it's contestants.

Anyway, I'm watiching the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe right now so I better get back to paying attention to that and drinking my wine. Until next time friends!

Time for another update I suppose...

I got a new job!! Yay me. It's not my dream job but it's better. I'm taking a bit of a pay cut but I'll be doing the production management for a small clothing company. At least it's clothing instead of furniture (I was working at Pottery Barn, I guess I can tell you now since I'm not there anymore) and I'll have two employees reporting to me. I will be in charge of coordinating all the production locally and overseas for this company as well as doing their trim buying so it's a lot more challenging and creative. Plus the people are really nice and I'll finally have benefits after 4 1/2 years of not having any.

I've been going through the set that tmronin shot of me on my last trip to NYC and damn I'm in love with these photos!! I can't wait to show you all because these are some hot-ass pics. I think my favourite photos of myself ever. I have lost weight since shooting my sets with Missy and Sawa so this will be the first set of skinnier me too. I hope SG accepts them, they are pushing the boundaries of this site a little because they are very fashion-y but that's all I'm going to say. Devon update:

I've been doing a lot more photography lately too. GlennSweet and I have been teaming up for SG photosets and they are turning out awesome! He's teaching me about the technical stuff and I'm doing the set design and camera angles. I just shot a set with Ramona that came out really cute. That girl has been needing a new set for quite some time! I'm shooting a few more girls in the coming weeks so stay tuned for my sets going live one day (hopefully soon). I'm really excited to be shooting Hera because I love that girl and she is crazy hot. Can't wait to see how that turns out.

I'm working on this giant tattoo on my upper thigh/wrapping around my knee. It's a panther and snake fighting in sort of Japanese style. So far I just have the outline and the black shading of the panther but it looks awesome. It goes from my hip and bottom of my butt all the way down to wrap around my knee. OUCH! I'll post pictures after the next sitting when there is some more color added. It's being done by Oey from Sacred Tattoo.

Speaking of tattoos, Mr_Reliable started at a new shop in San Rafael. It's called Spider Murphys and it's such a cool shop. If you live in the area I highly recommend you go check this place out because they are turning out some of the best work I've seen in a long time. His boss Theo is world-class. I hope to get tattooed by him one day.

Devon update if you're interested:

I guess it's time for a real "Taye" update since I haven't done that in ages! In case you were wondering, yes I did audition for the tour and I still haven't heard if I'm on it or not. I'm guessing not but you never know. They have already told most of the girls who weren't invited that they're not going so it's still a possibility. Mostly I just want to do costumes for the show which was my main motivation for auditioning. I think it would be awesome to be on the road but the reality is it's hard to give up a $36/hour job for it and to be away from home for 4 months. I'm not 23 anymore and I have to keep reminding myself of that!

Speaking of that crappy job, I hate it more than ever which is another reason I think I auditioned! It doesn't have much to do with the fashion industry and I really want to get back to designing. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out a way to start up my company again and still be able to pay the bills. Anyone know any rich investors who want to be part of the fashion industry for the mere price of a measly designer's salary? I'd even take a pay cut. Seriously, finding investors is like trying to find gold in the gutters of Oakland. I'm just not good at schmoozing. Maybe if I lived in LA it would be easier. At least I could participate in more fashion events.

I'm re-launching my website this week. Hopefully I'll have it up by Wednesday. In case you didn't book mark it (do it now!) the URL is www.tayeloremade.com. The shopping cart won't be active yet but I'll have that up sometime in the next few weeks as well. I am hoping to have it all done and live by the time my next set goes up at least because I'm wearing another one of my designs in that one too. I'm really looking forward to that set because it's cute and Sawa shot it so you know it's good photography.

I still have a shit ton of photos that I failed to upload after my trip down to LA for the Bangkok 5 video shoot so I've put them in my Me and SG's folder for you to look at. Here's a sample pic that I just love of the ever sexy Amina... check out the dude in the background!! Too funny.


I suppose that's it for now. It's 11:00pm and I'm tired and heading off to bed. The 9-5 thing really sucks man! I'm definitely not a morning person.

Life is really weird sometimes. Just when you think things are going OK something like this happens.
