My birthday is this week!! April 4th woot woot! It is my last year in my 30s and I couldn't be more excited about this bday. I just LOVE my birthday! The feeling of having one more year of experience and memories to call mine. Another new beginning to set new goals and experience new things. Absolutely nothing about aging bothers me. Things just make more and more sense and become more and more clear and I care less and less about bullshit or worry aboutt drama.. So yes! 39....Bring on what's next.

But honestly, it's not JUST my 'actual' birthday I am celebrating this month, BUT it is also my 7 year Suicide Girl birthday as well!
I am celebrating SEVEN years on this awesome website and being part of the coolest (and ONLY), worldwide, sisterhood of badass, traveling, tattooed, independent women, and I couldn't be happier to be here and be a part of the revolution. I have made the best friends, met the most interesting people, and traveled the world taking the incredible opportunities that have come to me through this site. I don't even know how I could recap everything I have done since 2006 in a nutshull.....so I won't, just a quick flashback to 7 years ago and then on the present! I've got so much to tell you all and show you all It has been almost 3 months again since my last blog!


So a quick flashback to the beginning....

My birthday weekend also marks one year since I started shooting sets for SG.

I have learned SO much and had so much fun shooting in my first year here, but I still have so much to learn..and so much to improve.....I can't wait for what my second year shooting for SG will bring!






In keeping up my goal to travel for 99% of my shoots, I attended the SG LV shootfest in February. It was one of the best experiences that I have had with SG so far. Amazing girls, perfect location, supportive/collaborating photographers, and a fucking blast!

apparently I've always liked to travel

I love this freaking website!! I have had the most amazing year living on and traveling the west coast! i have seen so many new cities and places and met so many awesome girls... and I've been working on this blog since August, so sorry it's soooo long and full of awesome pictures

I have been a busy little bee...traveling and shooting, non-stop, trying to get started as a photographer for SG since April! And today it all starts to come together..... I am SO excited!!! My first set a photographer went up on the main page today


Spliff and I shot this in NY back in July.

We shot way into the wee hours of the night.... until about 2:00am,


and THEN I shot a set of Auriga until about 5:00 am, and another one of Dhrti at 8:00 am after sleeping for 3 hours. It's a tough job, but somebodies got to do it

It is one of my favorite sets that I've shot..... If you haven't checked it out, I think this lady is what sg is all about. Beautiful in her own skin. I just love her!



Ok! GAH, i have sooooo much to update you all on....I've been traveling since August 18th on the road, non-stop, and I finaaaaaally got settled somewhere.....

And I am pretty excited to say, that I decided to come back to Ohio for a little while.





It was kind of an unexpected move back, but it was the happiest, sanest decision I've ever made. I am looking forward to saving up money again after I've had plenty of time with friends in Ohio.

Also Powder Puff Pinups is pretty busy back here, SO, I am back on the east coast for a bit (much to the excitement of my mom and family in NY..... Suddenly all of that whining about me being so far away in Ohio is gone replaced with greatfulness that I'm not all the way in California hahaha

I have officially been traveling for 20 days to shoot SG sets and hang out with the girls who I've met over the past 6 years through this amazing site.

HAPPY 6 YEAR SG ANNIVERSARY TO MEEE!! so happy to be celebrating it by going on a HUGE SG roadtrip!

At the airport waiting for my connecting flight to Portland.....and I though I would take a second and update you guys on what I've been up to and who I've been shooting lately.

I have some SG sets coming to member review in September! I'm so excited!

First, the first set that I ever shot. We had planed on doing a Powder Puff Pinups shoot, then decided to give a Zivity set a shot, and then decided to submit it to SG once Bitten went pink!

NEW YORK NEW YORK A HELL OF A TOWN!!

Still a little jet lagged and tired as hell, but What a blast my New York trip was!!
I already updated you on the first half of my travels through Philly and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Columbus, Ohio....SO, now for the second half of my June /July travel adventures....NEW YORK....!!!!



I happened to be in New York City the night they showed a preview of the new SG UK movie!!

After shoots in NYC, I got to spend time with my family on Long Island!
It's nice to be able to take work trips and also spend time with my family! I am truly living the dream! And plan to make NY my home away from home and visit every couple of months!

Sometimes I spend my time making silly diptics when it's inappropriate to open up my actual photos and computer on the plane....

Taking advantage of the time to work and the puppy and honey cuddles....I am back home in beautiful Humboldt County after the most amazing visit/vacation/shootfest!

Midway through my summer Ohio, Pennsylvania and NY trip!!!!

Here are some highlights.......


I flew in to JFK 9 days ago and haven't sat still since!


My little sis Yankee picked me up at the airport and we headed towards Philly!


Where I got to shoot this beautiful new hopeful for SG!!


then we headed for Pittsburgh to meet up with Monroe...
BUT THEN....we realized that Hershey Park was on the way!!!
and we couldn't resist!

our parents used to take us camping in the area and to the park every summer


it was the perfect place to catch up and spend time with my sis!


we had a blast




The next day we headed to Pittsburgh

had some drinks and lunch at the bar Monroe works at









before heading out to shoot in awesome location
a bit of an Egyptologist, herself, Monroe found an amazing Egyptian tomb guarded by some amazing creatures who since they had their boobies out themselves, seemed all too perfect to host our shoot

I'm used to traveling everywhere with my dog! I got a loaner dog from Alissa and took Hanna out on my errands!

technical difficulties

In true "ME/ casual-wonderlandish fashion, I am booking a last minute trip to NY - NJ - Pennsylvania and OHIO - and finally a stop in Portland before heading back home to northern California at the end of the month!
The annoying thing about it is, I KNEW I was going to take this trip, I just couldn't commit!!!!


So here I am paying way too much for flights.... and emailing girls back and booking shoots....and trying to finish all of my photoshop before I leave!
GAH!

The awesome thing is...I'm going anyway, because I do what I want.

Speaking of the photoshop part...... Here is what I've been up to!


I finished up the wwwpowderpuffpinups.com photoshop work from my May trip. Some of my ladies let me share some of their photos in my portfolio:
I have been shooting lots of Powder Puff Pinups clients and having a blast bringing out the pinup in every girl.

It's fun to give girls a little idea of what the life of an SG is like for a day.
Sometimes I even convert girls who never even knew what SG was before their shoot. It's a pretty rewarding job.
