Cruella-The Captain
I shot the beautiful Cruella at the San Francisco shootfest in April.
6 years ago, I started modeling for SG, then assisting and later learning from Alissa, and now, shooting
SG has always been so much fun for me, and I've loved having sets go up, and the excitement, but this is probably the most excited I've EVER been about SG....I am so excited to create more beautiful sets with the amazing girls I meet through the site! And collaborate with some of my favorite photographers in the world.
GAH! too excited about the future.
Right now.....
I'm back home in Northern California after about a month and a half on the road.
had some amazing drives and saw some amazing things

and of course, hung out at Alissa's and got help putting the logos on my first SG set....which by the way just went live about an hour ago!!!
and saw the adorable Radeo for a little bit while I was at Alissa's.
it was cool to have both of these ladies with me when I submitted the set since they have both been such a big part of my SG life!!

I got to be a hair model and have some temp dreads put in while I was in Las Vegas, by Gina at Kelly Cardenas Salon (my hair stilist for my Powder Puff PInups shoots in Vegas).
then it was on to RENO to visit Boomie!!! She and I worked together to try to start up a Reno SG.
I'l probably do another blog specifically about Reno, but here's the high-lights.
Boomie tattooed me!! This is something I have been planning for my leg for years! So excited to see it start coming together!
and there's no one better to do your text tattoos than another fan of text art!! So I was excited to find an artist who loves text like I do to do this piece for me! :

We have exactly 2 weeks as river side dwellers in California....and we have been enjoying every minute of it!
our lease is up and we have decided to move to the coast for the summer.
we are going to stay with friends in Arcata as our home base, and travel California camping and staying with friends to decide where we want to live permanently come this......say, November, December or January....
You know?
sometimes there's no other way other than to jump and trust where you'll land.

I've got San Francisco shootfest pictures AND Hell City Tattoo Festival SG booth pics from Columbus, Ohio this past weekend....coming up soon! I'm working on that blog! It's been an amazing month!
But I digress to the aforementioned rant,
So, I was on facebook and I was thinking about the negative facebook comments and how rude people are and it occurred to me that the way Suicide Girls handles negative feedback is what makes it so different from facebook, and so awesome!!First off, negative comments are not posted for public viewing, so it doesn't attract people who make negative comments just to get attention.
Second, people who do make negative comments are pretty much ostracized from the community, and if not, removed from the site (zotted by staff).
And as a model, since you can't see the negative comments anyway, it allows you to really not care why the 2 people out of 100 didn't like your set instead of obsessing over it.
The overall culture that has been created between the girls that love the site and stay around here, and the members who are willing to pay $4 a month to be a part of the site because they see that it is more than just boobies .... and enjoy encouraging girls to create art and be strong is just so awesome.
So here's my little thanks to all of the members pay $4 to be a part of SG and support the beautiful girls who model for this site

had so much fun at hell city with all of the girls.
While haters are posting negative comments and making fun of people, we are modeling, having fun, meeting great people in our community and taking more pretty pics for them to look at
bought a new Sunshine sticker to add to my laptop. it's me.
Oh yeah, and then there's this little snipit of fun...... I got to Columbus, OH after a 28 hour straight drive.... I text Alissa to stop by and hang out and after about an hour of hanging out and catching up....we realize....we are in the same outfit, down to the non-matching navy blue awkwardly long 1980s style under layer.
I have the XL version, Alissa has the XS version.
bhahahaha- I guess when you hang out approximately every day for 6 years straight...even when you move across the country, you still think alike hahahhhahahaha
But don't worry, even living in separate places, we are planning on teaming up a to do some really big things together in the future all OVER the US

I just got back from the SF SG shootfest and I am dying to update you about that....but that will have to wait for my next blog. First....my updates from OHIO!
Traveling all over the US for photoshoots, writing and fun!
I am loving far northern California!! Retreating to the woods after amazing adventures is perfect.
I am dealing with my missing my Columbus friends by going back to visit as much as I can. I am so excited to be heading back for my second trip in May for
THE HELL CITY TATTOO FESTIVAL!!!
I will be there running the SG booth and there will be a ton of SGs there this year hanging out, taking pictures and selling SG merch (at a discount, with no shipping
) 
If you are anywhere near Columbus in the first weekend of May,Hell City is one of the most awesome events of the year... The best tattoo artists in the world, awesome, entertainment, shopping and of course, about 50 of your favorite SGs running around partying.
Seriously one of my favorite times of the year.
Now to update you about my FIRST visit back to Columbus. Yes I moved here in January, and I already visited once and will be back in May. What can I say, I love cbus
It was a whirlwind trip. In 10 days. I shot 15 girls, raged at the Suicide Girl party, hung out and perved on 6 of Alissa's shoots, worked a bar shift at my bar, got my hair colored, got tatttooed, and even found some time to grab dinner with a girlfriend or 2 and have a few sleepovers.
My voice disappeared, along with Alissa and we ran around sounding like Selma and Patty for a few days. Good times....

I did some shoots....It's been one of my dream places to shoot, so I finally rented out Flower Child Vintage Shop for a morning of shoots with a few of my girlfriends and did some portfolio photos for Powder Puff PInups with Frolic, Roarke, Annastasia, and Phecda.

BUT....you can't have your cake and eat it too......and I moved to California....SO instead of whining about it..... I took full advantage of the time I had back in Columbus!!

I am really doing well these days. (not that I am not always doing pretty well, but I am happier than ever.
I have the most amazing fiance' in the world, I love California and the west coast, I am free to travel anytime I want, and I am so happy to be working full time on my photography, my writing and my business. And to have left the bar scene
My creativity and productivity are just getting going. I've been writing articles for my favorite magazines, and shooting for anything that looks like fun to me. I started blogging , and I am even working on my book.
But shooting is definitely my main focus right now.... For anything from my business, Powder Puff PInups, to my portfolio, Sunnie Rizzolo Photography, to articles that I am writing, for submission to magazines, and now for Zivity, and after this past weekend................,
I am now shooting for SG!! Probably the most exciting thing lately..... But I will get into that in my next blog (already in the works with updates about the SG San Francisco shoot fest this past weekend. .)

The OHIO SG PARTY Annnnnnnd all of the amazing ladies that will be in town for the party!
AND my little sis, Yankee is flying in from NY and meeting me in Ohio for the weekend.
It is my personal goal to make sure she gets back to using SG and being part of the community.
It'll be hard not to with all the amazing girls and members she'll meet this weekend! Well Hopefully! I GUESS I should say, I'm TRYING to go to Ohio this week!
Since moving to Northern California 2 months ago, I've been hearing a lot about how difficult air travel is from inside "The Redwood Curtain"......
and I got my first taste of that yesterday, when after driving an hour and a half down the winding mountain roads to the coast only to find out that due to delays because of wind and rain in San Fran, that even if I flew out, I wouldn't make it to Denver in time to catch my second connection.
So if I left Humboldt, I'd be stranded in Denver.
I guess I could be frustrated about the difficulty to travel in and out....but truth be told.....I love it!
It's a necessary inconvenience to enjoy this isolation that I love so much. And for that, I will happily deal with it.
Because, well, Life out in the woods is great!

OH, OH, and speaking of travel plans, and going back to Ohio.........SO excited that I will be running the SG booth this year at Hell City in Columbus, Ohio. May 4-6.
There are going to be over 50 SGs there this year and it's one of the best conventions in the country as far as attending artists, entertainment, atmosphere, and fun. Seriously, one of my favorite times all year long! If you are anywhere near downtown Columbus, you should really try to attend. It's a blast!

happy and sad at the same time. i've really loved it here in Columbus. Shooting is fun but it's not the same without my partner in crime Alissa, and all of the girls, the fun times.... It's a great thing here in C-bus. If you have a chance to visit, you really should!!

busy week ahead. All while trying to pack up my entire 4 bedroom house with a basement an attic and a 2 car garage, and sell a lot of my stuff, I will also be shooting 3 beautiful girls today, assisting Alissa is shooting for SG tomorrow and then I will be bartending Friday, Saturday and Monday.... before heading out to Portland, OR first thing Tuesday morning for a Powder Puff Pinups shoot, then on to northern California...to meet back up with my boo (can't fucking wait), and then on to check out Ashland Oregon, and Bend Oregon (as a few more potential cities that we are considering before making our decision of where we will be moving........
Excited to see those places...but I'm not going to lie......northern California is going to be a hard place to beat!
Either way, it's looking like we will make the move right around the new year.

My goal for more frequent blog posts is severely failing! But I've been too busy living to blog about it lately.
Soooo, I am officially moving. Most likely to beautiful Northern California (although we still have Southern Oregon to look at when I go back in November)!
But Killer47 and I spent most of our 12 days in Northern California and we couldn't be more excited about our upcoming move....everyone we met was amazing, and we immediately felt at home! And things couldn't fall into place any better as far as work either, as Killer already has a job out there.....and I have 2 Powder Puff shoots booked for my return trip........AND I met 6 girls who want to shoot for SG. And I only met 6 girls total while I was there....so that's a good sign for how well SG will be received!
lol. But I'm not one to make moves without being ready....so I have a busy few months ahead of me.....
selling most of my furniture, working my butt off to bank up some more money for the move, shooting tons of new stuff for my portfolio and adding it to our website (finally) and, of course, most importantly, spending time with my friends in Ohio that I will miss like crazy!!!
