So, im reading and goin on the net while ry makes some dinner.
I saw my good buddy from high school in teh store.. its always wierd. Its also kinda funny.. ebcause all fo my old close friends from school dont have children. We're all terrified by the thought haha..
whew.
so yeah.. im looking up tickets to different places online. I should buy some.. ut i think i need to settle my passport before i make any serious plans.. mostly because i would hate to have something go wrong and get screwed out of a ticket. Sucky.
Anyway... japan is like 600 now.. but in a couple of months itll be 900+ which is dissapointing.
but to go to wierd tropical islands its like 200$.. and to go to europe its 300. Maybe ill do europe.. cuz you can take wierd trains all over the place once youre there. It would be fun. too bad im a stupid american who only speaks english. ha..

I would recommend that you stay away from Expedia.com. They royally fucked up on my last vacation, they never comfirmed our purchase with the airline, which resulted in us on the phone with them and the airline for 6 hours.

I don't think you only knowing english will be problem, anyone under 40 speaks very good English in France, Germany, Holland, Denmark, Belgium and Austria. I'm headed to France in October to visit the town I am moving too, hopefully Ill know more French by then.

My brother lives in Tokyo and he loves it, I doubt he will ever return.

Oh, and yes it's best to have your passport sorted just in case you run into some problems you wouldn't want to have to get stuck with those tickets.

English will pretty much be okay anywhere. Just be sure to lie and tell people you're Canadian - not American!

Berlin is fun... I'd stay away from Egypt, though unless you want to be called "cream" by men on the street (it's kind of like saying "wet pu$$y" or something) I think you should also definitely plan a trip to New York City. I know of at least one modeling gig for you smile

you could always invest in in those little touristy rudamentry guides to French, German, Spanish, Gailic or where ever else you go in Europe. I've heard that if you try Europeans will appreciate you trying to speak their language and not accuse you of the stupid shit Bush has pulled.

yeah sorry you had to see that ultra-depressing entry, I get in a mood half the time and it comes out on here unfortunately... whatever yeah I know I don't have to be like them, but it's hard when you're sort of forced into the groove of society anyway. If that makes sense...
Good luck on your travel plans. I have been practically nowhere. One day I might have money to travel....

Are you going on holiday? Or on the lam? tongue

Japan would be really cool. BUt I think you'd maybe get better value and variation travelling around Europe.

travel is the nectar of the soul. if you read the tao te ching though it would argue differently and say love where you are otherwise you bring misery to your soul.

true. the heart was made to wander and never be satisfied. at least that is what i've come to feel and see in the world around me. every place eventually feels the same and you wonder where the shine of it went.
