yea im doing the same thing for a minimac. i think signing up for the Credit card then cancelking it works too

signing up for a credit card nd then cancelling it fucks up yr credit. be careful with that one...

these things are basically crazy marketing efforts. it's a psychographic mining project where they collect as much information about everyone who signs up as they possibly can and then target you and those they deem "like you" with marketing as closely approaching "target of one" as possible.
