For the first time in my life (that I am capable of remembering), I am not learning. And I don't just mean huge things like new languages, or the questions that's answered by the number 42 (yes, I am reading Douglas Adams and loving it!). Even small things like how a certain job is done at work is done....and I think it's driving me slightly mad.
I love to learn. I yearn knowledge and this sudden drought is getting to me. I thought after my degree, I'd lost my passion for learn, but I guess I just needed something new.
So, what to do, what to learn?
I am considering sign language.
We have a young boy that is bought to our shop to buy his Marvel comic every week. He is roughly 8 years old, wheelchair bound and although I have no idea what his physical or mental issues may be exactly, he obviously really struggles. Yet, every time I serve him, he manages to gain control of his arms and give me the signing symbol for 'thank you'. This really struck a chord with me and I've been thinking about it ever since.
If you could learn anything in the world, what would it be?
