I want to learn sign language. I know a very little bit of Makaton, but not enough to be useful at all. (Apart to ask for a biscuit!)
I was just saying to a colleague today that learning is awesome! I'm starting my Master's dissertation in September, and whilst I know it's gonna be hard work doing as well as my day job, I can't wait!

i would love to learn to play drums again.

nice! my coordination is alright, i started classes when i was a kid but i stopped, same with russian language. i took lessons during film school but i couldnt keep up.

Ha! It should be interesting, cos obviously I get to choose the subject. I wish it was in something more interesting though, like French Literature, or French Cinema, or Gender Studies, or Philosophy. I miss studying that kinda thing.

a foreign language, possibly Japanese. my younger brother is fluent in sign language and has several degrees in education, and currently teaches deaf children. Sometimes I envy him, but would never tell him that. And that story about the little boy is the kind of thing that will touch your heart.

They probably do some evening classes near where you live in sign language. they do where I live, and I always miss the deadline to signup, and spaces get filled fast as its so popular! Its is something I have always wanted to learn - I know the alaphabet, but that's it.

THere are lots of things I have always wanted to learn< I am like you I guess. i love learning new things. LuckilyI am back at Uni, so I get to learn new stuff all the time. But I must admit when I left my old work, and the 3 months before Uni started - i didn't learn anything, and it was very frustrating.

I'm exactly the same, I have such a thirst for knowledge.
I did sign language back in primary school, I remember very little of it but it's worthwhile.

I'd like to learn Japanese, I tried a while back but gave up because I couldn't give it the time it needed.

Sadly, the one thing I would love to know... how to write straight-up in machine code, is something that evolves so quickly that by the time I gained the skill level I would want, my knowledge would be obsolete.

So I shall continue trying to be as good as I possibly can at the higher-level languages...
