Well it's been a weird couple of weeks. Lots of bombing about from one place to another.

Retail work is continuing to expose me to some of the richest and most idiotic people on earth! Best random quotes so far this week:
"Have you seen my wife?" Hmm, let me think. I have no idea who you or your wife are or what she looks like, give me a frickin clue! When I asked when she looked like he huffed and stormed out of the shop.
"Why did you design the shop like this, I don't like it?" Seriously, I work behind the til what makes you think I made the damn shop?!
"I don't know why you even bother opening small shops!"
Yes, retail is increasing two things in me. My intake of chocolate and hatred of rude people.
"Can I hand in my CV?" Followed by him handing me a ripped piece of paper with his name and address on.

One thing did freak me out at work the other day though. I do currently think kids are encouraged to grown up far too quickly. As a young teenager we were given boybands but now they seem to be boybands for 7 years old, selling sex to kids (if you've seen the South Park with the Jonas Bros, you'll know what I mean!). My thoughts on this subject was proved perfectly by another item I unpacked the other day. This is a real colouring in book

Yes, a cutesty, vampire themed coluring in book....

Sorry for the crappy couple of pics but it's all I could subtley get while 'working'.
Now I might be on my own here but both these pics piss me off!
The first one being...why the hell must the man protect the woman, we can damn well look after ourselves in these modern days thank you very much!
The second one being the word 'lovers.' This is a frickin' kids coluring in book, call me old fashioned but I'm pretty sure that's no place for the word lovers!
The whole book carries on along these lines and it's seriously freaky!

Anyway, as you can probably tell, I am in a slightly ranty mood, so I won't keep you too long. I will share PHOTO OF THE WEEK with you though!

As some of you many know Jay, Mark, Alex and I were in a car crash on Sunday and were all very lucky to walk away. But hours later, after sitting outside a closed Starbucks somewhere on the a23, miles away from either of our homes, I spotted the ultimate pairing of RedBull and cough medicine, for some reason this made me smile after a rather dramatic afternoon, so here it is!

Also, don't forget to show to you love to these UK hotties!

Tragique - Searching for Nessie

Dixy - Latexxx

So this last week was sun in brighton, ideas factory, car crashing, sleeping through an entire night (yay drugs!), tattoo lust, Milka caramel and having to cancel shoots.
This coming week is Nando's with the ladies, anniversary pressie night out, shooting and hopefully a switch to purple hair

Good bye. I'll leave you wth my favourite song of the moment. There aren't many tunes I can listen to over and over but this is one of them (lean back, close your eye, gnore the video and listen to the lyrics)

I used to work in retail but never again, too many idiots. I do agree with you on the kids thing, they do seem to be growing up too fast these days, the things that discusted me the most was when a shop brought out thongs for kids puke
I didn't know you were in a crash, are you OK now?

I know how you feel. I also work in retail, but I tend to be a bit of a diplomat. I can influence and alter the rude, mean, or stupid custmers rather easily, and if I can not I toss them over to my manager.

As for the coloring book, I completely agree. Sex is being thrown at kids very young. The reason is because, as you said, "Sex Sales." They have laws to protect kids from sexual predators, but where are the laws to protect them from the unseen predators in books, tv, and all around them. The laws to stop people from selling sex to kids..? The sad thing is that there will never be any, because sex sales, and governments are greedy and uncaring about what happens to kids at a young age.

I wish it would be different, and I try and instill some morals to my sisters, cousins, nephew, and neice. Hopefully they will be abit better for it. One can hope.

I am glad the accident did not hurt you or your friend. Life has a funny way of working things out or putting things together. Like the picture of the redbull and cough bottle you took.

retail suuucks. but apparently in this economy [esp. in california], it's what is mostly available. sighh...

i also keep finding stuff like that for kids. it's AWFUL. it makes me not want to bring children up in any large town. maybe i'll raise them amish, hahah! ridiculous. technology is too amazing. but i feel like the way of the world is everyone's fault...

“The world is a dangerous place. Not because of the people who are evil; but because of the people who don't do anything about it.”

and so, as i commit to being lazy by protesting thru blogs, conversation, and thought, i am at fault too. oh well!

in this commercial culture, sex/violence sells and as long as there is scratch to be made it will continue to sell. An awful trend to be sure

Another fellow retail worker. I hate customers sometimes. All it takes is one person to be nice and I'll be in a great mood all day but it works the other way and all too often people are rude.

I didn't realise you guys were in a crash. Glad you're all okay.

That was all highly entertaining, apart from the bit about your crash - obviously
I love a good rant .. remember, the customer is always right !
