yes...isn't it bizzare how we project ourselves onto the people and different aspects of our surroundings...everything can become a reflection of our own self scrutiny if we are not careful (or unfettered optimism which i've had to learn can have an equally traumatic outcome)... so, as you quoted and know, to truly know ourselves is to also truly know our relation to place and others...and to dispell our own internal critique and skeptic is to liberate ourselves from the attachment of being victimized by others who attempt to project their internal 'demons' onto us...
woo, am i a wordy one tonight! can't blame me too much though, i was in a annual planning meeting from 9-5, and then had a sustainability workshop from 6-9...i am mentally pooped...
