I spent all of tonight preparing a delish vegetable cocunut curry for Kit and then thought it was too thin... so i added a miniscular amount of cornflour and all of a sudden i have disgusting green vomit on my hands.
So i guess we're getting a takeout pizza....

Going to Spain for a weekend break in the sun (is it too hopeful to wish for sun?)
Last night JohnStitch and I went out for sushi. Sometimes there is nothing more a girl wants than raw fish. Then we went for a quick after dinner drink in a members bar in Soho that Neil is a member of. We had a quick after dinner cocktail. And another. And a £70 bottle of red with a complimentary cheeseboard. We seriously have ideas above our station. (only just above, mind you.
).Felt fucking horrid this morning. Did lots of puking. Luckily that was before the water went off. Drank some really posh vodka that I bought in Harrods a few weeks ago. What a waste! (drank that last night, not this morning). Called my dearest Kit, thinking it was about 9pm, but it was actually midnight. oh red, red wine. What a demon you are.
Went for lunch with Doplex, mat8drb and JohnStitch today and was signifiantly jealous of the new flat that Doplex and mat8drb are living in! Lunch was delish.

I have so much work to do, it's insane. I'm faced with this horrible fear that I will fail. I've never really felt that fear before.
I've booked flights to Madrid for the day my exams finished to see my friend Mark. I miss him so much and he returns to the UK in june. it's all to often that I have friends abroad and don't take the opportuntity to visit them. Now let's hope that he actually gets back to me to let me know he's still okay for that weekend. Not that i don't trust him or anything

Well, 3 essays are in... 2 exams next week. I don't know how I feel about them. My essay on Genocide in Bosnia was fairly good, I think. My only major concern is that i was about three hundred words over the word limit. At Sheffield this was really serious offence! But at UCL, who knows. I know that during the last essays everyone I talked too had gone over the limit and since we've had no notification about it, so I'm assuming there is a ten % rule or something.
Analysis of ethnic conflict in Chechnya, again over the word limit. This one by about four hundred words... gah! It was a 2000 limit in which we were expected to outline the conflict, and critically assess why the conflict has occured, why it had gone so far and whether there was any chance of resolution. All of this had to be in line with certain theories that we have studied. I feel like this essay was pretty good, although i wasn't able to put in too much about resolution (word restriction), but it fitted in with one interpretation of modernization theory, so it's not all doom and gloom.
I get nervous around theory essays as well, in case I have comletely misinterpreted the theory......
The Russian politics essay was closer to the word limit (about 90 words over), but i'm less confident in its content. I did so much reading for it and alll of the reading pointed in the direction of my argument, but it felt less... factual, more wishywashy.
Oh well, we'll see. I'm just so excited to have them in! Relaxing tonight, then a week until exams and then FREEDOM for a summer.
