I've just returned from Moscow and from the best weekend of my life.
I can't wait to go back to Moscow and see it all over again, but this trip will stay with me for the rest of my life. I will never forget the amazing suite in the grand hotel and the delicious Russian food and the most visually spectacular city I have ever set eyes on.
All of that was so fantastic but none of it quite as brilliant as the moment the love of my life got down on one knee, in Red Square, and asked me to marry him

my big birthday surprise was kind of spoilt when JohnStitch's business partner turned to me and said:
"so, are you looking forward to your trip to Moscow?"
HOLY SHIT! There's not really anyway you can spoil something so amazing. I'm stunned that anyone would do anything so special for me. Tomorrow I live one of my dreams and go to Russia for the first time

it's like waiting for 50 years only to find that the wine is corked.
That's the closest I can get to an elusive metaphor for today. I don't want to go into it but it sucked ass.

But I've got all I need right here. With that, I know it'll be okay.

♥
Hope everyone's doing good!

Busy times.
Life has become kind of stressful since the last journal and financial hardship has set in. Basically there has been a huge fuck up at work and i'm looking quite poor in the near future. but i won't dwell on that here. i've done nothing but whinge about it all week and to be perfectly honest i'm bored stiff of my own moaning.
Lazy spend-free weekend is here. We're sat on the sofa watching Saturday Kitchen now. Tonight getting a little visit from Honey which will be wonderful because i hardly ever get to see my kitten

TheQuestion and CreamyGoodness might be popping by too! We have to be spendfree but luckily our friends still come and visit us even though I am now a peasant. Maybe it's karma for being a horrible snob in my brief period of richness? (I mean the peasant part, not the good friend part).
---
The Apprentice is totally hotting up, I can't believe it's the final next week. Who do you think will win and who do want to win?
I think Claire and I want Claire. I really like her but apparently that's wrong.
---
Went for a surprisingly good curry in Brick lane with Kit on Thursday. I say surprising because you don't really go to Brick Lane for good curry, you go to brick lane to barter down the prices on cheap curry. But it was nice! and of course it was nice to hang out with Kit, who JohnStitch and I always have such fun with. It's good to just chill out sometimes, especially after such a stressful week!

It's nearly my birthday! 23 sounds so grown up. Next week we are going for an SGUK camping trip and then the week after JohnStitch tells me he has something really exciting planned for my birthday which i am crazy excited about. Week after (when we have undoubtedly spent all of our money) we're going to head to Bath to see my parents and hopefully get looked after and taken out for dinner. I'm also rooting for some white GHD's from the parents... fingers crossed!
---
I've filled my favourites AGAIN. Going to delete a few and add them here into my journal so i can look back int he future and see which pictures were in my favourites. I used to save them to my hardrive but i'm running out of room with all the photos i've taken too.
Evette's Laura Petrie set is one of my all time favourites. One of the classic sets on SG.

-- URGH! It will only let me add one attachment/journal at the moment. So frustrating. I guess i'll add more of my favourites next time...
---
My current favourite hobbie is writing all of my recipes from my recipe folder into my newly bought recipe book. Oh god i'm such a foodie is unreal.
Have a nice week, Sugars.

Have a nice week, Sugars.
Today has been the laziest Sunday in a long time.
Having not got to sleep until about 5.30am I finally got up at 11.30 and lounged about in my dressing gown and watching Atonement. I didn't expect Atonement to be anywhere near as depressing as it was, but I also didn't think that it would be as good as it was. Oh wait, Kiera can actually act a bit! No way.
Have sorted myself out a bit at work and feel less stressed out about it now...
Went over to Doplex;s house last night, which he shares with mat8drb and McK. I had such a lovely time, i love those boys. I think it is so amazing that I've met so many fantastic friends through this site. Sometimes people ask me if I worry about being naked on the internet coming back to haunt me in the future, but if I am perfectly honest there is no way i could regret it because if I had never done it I would never had made such great friends and of course met JohnStitch too.
Tomorrow I'm going to the first wedding I have ever been too. It's the wedding of an old friend of Neil's. I get to get nice and dressed up and spend the night out of the city and i think we're both really looking forward to it.
What are your plans for the bank holiday?

Sky's musical pick of the week:
I was introduced to Jens Lemkin at All Tomorrow's Parties last week - really my kind of music. A little like belle & sebastian. First band I've actually felt compelled to buy an album buy in some time.]
---
And to perk up my journal a bit... a classic SG pic straight outta my favourites:
Evette in Laura Petrie.

It might be raining and cold today but SUMMER IS HERE!

i seem to be suffering from a bit of an alcohol and internet problem at the moment. The two should never be combined.
