With sore arms, I will attempt to regale you with tales of a protest, tattoo, and an obsession with happy times.

My valentine's day turned out to be one of the most amazing days I've had in a while. After a delicious breakfast and being yelled at by a bum pissing on the street, I made my way to protest protesters. A new Planned Parenthood (<3) opened up in Portland, and myself, as well as a few very awesome people, thought we'd go show our support of Planned Parenthood in the face of hundreds of pro-lifers. Planned Parenthood provides so many amazing free services to people who do have access to affordable healthcare... so in short, I love Planned Parenthood. Here are pictures:

Holding this sign, I was asked if I 1) regret being born, 2) celebrate mother's day. Really?

She got yelled at for writing the word vagina on her sign. Apparently, "that's a private word, and it's disgusting to put that on display." I personally love the word vagina, and I'll openly shout "I love 'vagina'" any time, any day, hundreds of times over.

Sure, there were only a few of us, but we let our voices be heard, and man, we were FIERCE.

Just before leaving, staff from Planned Parenthood came down to thank us for our support. Well Planned Parenthood, thank you. Your services are much appreciated by the people who actually know what you do for the community. <3

After that, I watched people fall on their asses:

Life has been super well. I've been obsessed with watching Star Wars episodes 4-6, Star Trek (the movie), and Alf on DVD. Sweetheart is making her way up pretty soon - it's going to be EPIC.

Despite life being super grand... I do find myself missing New York. Maybe I'll make my way back there someday. sigh.

I wasn’t going to comment, because you have so many comments already, but this whole thing gets my insides going crazy!
I am not in favor of abortion, but I also think people have the right to make their own choices. All those people holding the anti Planned Parenthood signs really are stupid, because if they did any research at all they would know that Planned Parenthood uses abortion as a last resort, and will try to talk the "mother" out of abortion and help to find other ways of dealing with the "issue". So really they are saving a lot of babies every day.
Planned Parenthood offers a billion other services that are extremely beneficial to women and couples...or just about anyone who is having sex. Such as helping teenagers avoid getting pregnant...prevention of STD’s and STI's, and women’s exams. I also owe a HUG thank you to PP, they were the first to discover my tumors in 2008, when nobody else would even touch me because I didn’t have insurance. SO THANK YOU PLANNED PARENTHOOD.
This really wasn’t targeted at Silencia, or anybody else...I’m just ranting. I feel better now.

wow! I am so impressed! It always blows my mind how they can walk around with those dead baby photos on their signs. Then they get upset because your sign said vagina? What a crock.

Who did your tattoo? Man that really inspires me to get one of my baby boy...Yours looks fabulous! Congrats on everything going so well for you! xoxo

I dont believe in Abortions myself.... But then again I don't believe in cutting any human or animals life short... but hey we are entitled to do what ever we want with our own bodies.... I love the fact that you girls went out and showed your support... Planned Parenthood is there to help and if these poeple fight against a human why not protest against animal cruelty and inhuman slaugther... If a fetus can feel pain so can an animal.... But yeah love the fact that you girls did that... I think Casper, that guy and me would have had a riot and I mean a riot on the other side...

good for you for supporting them. and i would have to agree, their signs were just retarded. if you're going to protest something, either be comical about it (ask bristol palin XD you guys had the right idea. those idiots just didn't have a sense of humor at all!) or have something intelligent to say.

"adoption is another option"? um, how about all the kids who are put up for adoption who end up spending 18 years being bounced around the foster care system, or end up in and out of group homes their whole life because no one wants them? yeah, bet they didn't think about that did they? happens more often than not. and i'm sorry but i just don't see how that's better than an abortion.

"men regret lost fatherhood"? um, how bout all the young men who end up broke having to pay child support for kids they didn't want in the first place? is that better? sure, now the kid is alive, but they know their whole life that mommy never wanted them and daddy resents them for costing him his future. again, i fail to see how that is the better option. better to just end the life before it starts than to let one more person suffer unnecessarily. if those idiots took 5 minutes to pull the bibles out of their asses and see how much good planned parenthood does for the community, they wouldn't be protesting, they'd be celebrating!

but no, devout religion seems to go hand-in-hand with stubborn ignorance.

anyway, good for you for supporting them. someone needs to.
(and i must say, the "keep your god away from my vagina has to be the best protest sign i've ever seen! i love it!)

ooohhh!! I Suzy tattoo! I can't wait to see it. I think I've looked at the website and seen some of his work before. He's the one that's known for the pet portraits right? Maybe someday I'll have some extra money and I can get one too!
