Going to keep this short and sweet!
I'm officially moved out of my apartment. I was worried the complex would charge me to replace the carpet since it wasn't in the best condition when I left, but they only charged me $15 for power cleaning. Woohoo!
There was also a hole in one of the bedroom doors, thanks to some crazy! My boy helped me patch it up with some newspaper and liquid plaster. They didn't even notice it during the walk through. Yeah...he's that good!
I was pissed off all weekend because I told my roomie we had to have everything moved out and cleaned by Saturday night. He went out of town to see his girlfriend on Friday night and didn't return until 6:30 in the morning today, Monday!!! I had to pack, move, and clean EVERYTHING on my own AND work each night. Everyone I asked to help me move out Saturday morning bailed on me. Sometimes my friends really suck!
Everything worked out alright in the end. Just glad it's done with.
I found this image the other night. I did this shoot a couple years ago when I was living in Chicago. The photographer was still learning and just doing test shoots. He must have touched it up recently and re-posted it.

Hello SGland! I have some new things in my life I'd like to share with you!
My brother was visiting in Colorado for the past three weeks. I don't think I've ever drank so much alcohol in such short time. The boy can drink, a lot! Trying to keep up with him isn't the best idea. His leave time ended yesterday so we drove back down to Arizona together.
We left around 3am and made it into Tucson around 5pm. I had to work Wednesday night so I slept for the first part while he drove then we traded off so he could get some sleep. Poor guy had to work at midnight last night until 7am this morning. That's a loooooong couple of days. The drive wasn't too bad. It seemed to go by pretty quickly.
I did get a stupid speeding ticket for going, ready for this...EIGHT over. Ain't that some shit. The cop was going on the opposite way on the highway and went out of his way to turn around and pull me over for EIGHT over. Ugh. It's in New Mexico, which I've only ever been to TWICE in my life so I'm probably not going to pay it. I love routing the trip on my phone and trying to beat the time it states.

I wish I took more pictures on the road but I was feeling pretty lazy.
I finally changed my hair color last week. I maintained the blonde and purple for almost two months and needed something new. I kept it pretty simple and went back to a dark brown, close to my natural color, left some blonde and added in some purple and blue. A few of my co-workers didn't even notice and tried to argue that I change my hair color every "ten" minutes and they can never keep up. That's ridiculous.
I don't have any good pictures of it yet. I'm hoping the blue will fade into the blonde a little more.

I ripped one of my contacts from my last pair on the drive down yesterday. I'm pretty bummed about it. My prescription expired last week. I have an eye exam appointment on Monday when I get back in Colorado but I'm stuck wearing my glasses until then. I really hate wearing them. I am nearly legally blind and my glasses are super thick and nerdy. Hate. I was going to make an appointment here in Tucson to renew my prescription but they would have to special order my contacts since my vision is so terrible which would take too long. Sad day.
hmph.
I've been hanging out with a boy who makes me very happy. It's kind of a funny story...
We use to work together back in 2005, my first job ever! When I was 16 I worked at Hot Topic for a few months as a seasonal employee. We worked a few shifts together but had never talked very much.
A few weeks ago I was at a bar in Denver with my brother and some co-workers. I was hanging out talking to a friend and saw this boy walk by. Being the creep that I am, I instantly remembered him and had to say something. Kinda hit it off from there...I don't think he actually remembers me though he argues he does but honestly I hope he doesn't. Who wants to remember awkward teen years?!
We've been spending a lot of time together, it's probably unhealthy. I really enjoy it. i was going to post some cute pictures we took but I don't wanna be too creepy, yet!

Hey SG land! Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been overwhelmed with life and haven't been able to put any of it into words for a blog.
Not sure where to begin...
...my crazy roommate finally moved out. She packed all of her things without saying a word and left, also without paying that months rent or any of the remaining month's to come. Awesome. I'm currently living without a roommate in a two bedroom apartment and paying $900 a month for it. Not so cool. It is nice not having to deal with her bitchy-self anymore.
My co-worker might move into the extra room next month until my lease is up in September. He's a decent guy. He has an awesome girlfriend who I get along with really well and I know he has a job that pays well. Just worried about the idea of having someone else to deal with in a living situation. My first experience was the worst you could ever imagine so I'm scarred for life now when it comes to roomies.
It's only a couple months. Think I can handle it.
Since my lease is up in September, I was thinking about relocating and moving to Tucson, Arizona. My brother is in the Air Force and stationed there for another year. I brought the idea up to my Dad and he couldn't even respond. He quickly ended the phone call. Pretty sure that's not a good sign.
Can't do much right anymore.
Need to find a new apartment. Need to find a new job. Need a new life. Do they have those at Wal-mart? They have everything else...
Haven't been sleeping well. My thoughts have been eating away at me. Need an off button. Turning into a zombie. Just going through the daily motions. Nothing changes.
Craving more.
I often avoid writing blogs about my current life because I don't want people to "talk" to me about it. If I write a blog about things occurring in my life, the things said are all I want to say. I'm not very good at opening up and talking about my "feelings".
Half the time, I type out my life and delete it before posting. Sharing isn't always caring.
Now I'm rambling - End.

Summer is almost here! I can't wait! Now that I'm living in an apartment with a decent pool I can't wait to use it as much as I possibly can. I'm trying to get the motivation to utilize the apartment gym that was just built as well. That goes hand-in-hand with laying by the pool. Might even get myself a new bikini.
I'm also working outdoors which is very exciting. Right in the heart of downtown Denver! I've already ran into so many old friends just from working down there. Business has been fairly slow recently but I know that once the weather gets nicer we are going to be insanely busy so I'm enjoying the relaxing paid time to hang out right now. We received our new uniform shirts the other day, I don't think they could be much worse. They are bright mustard yellow with pointed button-up collars...ehh.
I guess there always has to be some negative aspects to working an amazing job.
My roots are starting to need fixing. Trying to decide if I should just re-bleach and keep the blonde or do something else. Thinking about keeping the blonde but adding a little more purple and possibly some pink. What do you think?
Lately, I've been contemplating shooting a new set, I have a really fun location and a neat idea to match, just not sure if it's something I'm wanting to do anymore. I'd love to travel somewhere and shoot with a staff photographer I haven't shot with yet. The chance of meeting someone new to create something for SG would be a lot of fun.
I think I need a vacation. Maybe another trip to California, Mexico, or somewhere I've never been. Every time I start thinking about this, I get carried away with all the wonderful places I could potentially go and then reality sets in....working two jobs, paying bills, need to save up money, all that fun stuff. Ugh. Someday.
Thanks to waterfordman who purchased a blender for me off my wishlist. Now I can make my morning smoothies. Yuuummmmm!

I dyed my hair. I went from red to blonde which is always scary since there's a high chance of it turning out bright orange. Mine came out really light with some gold tints in it. I added a little purple in the front, I might add more later on.
