i'm digging the nonprofit job. the french community in this city is so small... it's going to be interesting to find a way to generate more people to come into my site at the french cultural center... and when i say interesting i mean, i'm totally up for the challenge.
a few of us SGBC kids got together and carved some pumpkins, it was a little too much fun. pacmanman kumquat & Parker took pics... Im stoked to see them!
I hear back about the job of my dreams this week. the excitement and anticipation is killing my stomach, it's been super fluttery with butterflies the past two weeks.
Also I rescued a coffee table from craigslist, it was coated in snowboarding stickers, it took a little over 5 hours to remove them all and scrape off all the sticky residue, I've asked Choplogik if he wants to add some of his glorious art skills onto it. I don't want to put any restrictions or limits on it, not even going to ask a sample or make any requests.
What I really want is for him to do whatever he wants to the coffee table.
I remember that feeling of making some awesome flyer or poster in graphic design contracts and have the client go no thats too crazy or i dont think that's going to work... knocking down amazing ideas saying they want different but end up with some generic boring lifeless poster/flyer that looks just like everything else, it bites. people should be a bit more flexible with creative control, I also think by not putting any boundaries on this anything is possible, so it's going to be awesome cause there are unlimited options.
Also I think this short film was interesting and awesome, what do you kids think?
Each year I get all ambitious and go I'm gonna make my costume real early this year and blow everyone out of the water but end up with some last minute scramble to get something together.
I've got five days to make a Halloweenie costume and no I have not started yet.
til next time, ladies...
xoxo

its still bewildering to me even as I grow older...
how some creatures are so clueless to what consequences shall follow suit to their actions.
are people just genuinely clueless?
are that many people in this world that selfish?
where does acting without considering the reaction or effect attitude stem from?
it's something i thought would make more sense as time passed but it seems to puzzle me more and more...
from the lowest level to one on one human interactions all the way up to the hugest corporations...
our actions have reactions
those reactions can become and transform into consequences
they can be negative or positive.
it can shape, form or destroy relationships, lives, cultures, creatures and environments.
i myself have taken on the pledge to try my best to only bring positive into my life and what surrounds me...
(it's not easy at times but anything thats amazing often takes a bit of work)
if you feel like trying out this vow, try it for a day or a week...
ask yourself, is this going to benefit the majority or only me?
am i going to cause harm or pleasure?
you'll be surprised at what you will observe and learn about the world around you but most importantly yourself.
peace & lotsa love
Shanti

im laying in bed sandwiched between two of my most favorite creatures.
life is funny. life is amazing. life is wonderful.
it always finds a way to work out, may it be slow and steady or quick and chaotic.
either way it pans out, not at the rate or speed i may want it to be but it does and i appreciate that.
it also has taught me the importance of being patient.
went to see ratatat last night.
i caught the typical mid season cold somehow, probably due to excessive amounts of stress & hanging out with someone with a cold alot
yet i powered up on over the counter meds and made myself presentable enough to leave the house and go to the show, i have been waiting, yearning, craving, dying to see them live since 2004/2005 after being introduced to them at that time my university's student run radio station whilst running a show.
it was everything i anticipated and more.
i crowd surfed during wildcat and shrempi ( i think ) but i might be wrong on the second song.
either way, i layed out in a cross shape and turned into a star shape just smiling ear to ear like the biggest goof in the world questioning to myself, is this really happening? to quickly look all over and around, stare to the two members on stage, with a bigger smile and go holy good god fuck yes it actually is and kept floating thru the crowd to only gracefully come down and dance the rest of the night away.
i snagged two videos, the bass is so loud that in the first video it sounds pretty wonky and in the second somehow its mute, talk about an iphone fail, either way i am long over due on updating photos and vids also the round two update on that wedding... ive gotta get on all of that.
bumped into S_Eldorado on our way there, he had a guest from new york that he had originally met in australia, theres something about travelling and reconnecting with people from your travels that carries some mystical allure and excitement. i cant put my finger on it, im pretty sure there is no word to perfectly describe it either but i hope somebody reading this knows what i mean... or have felt that feeling.
Malloreigh finished her 365 picture project, so many people have taken on that project but so little have been seen it through the whole way, i commend her and feel inspired to try it out myself...
other then that, im excited to see Cruella cause she's finally back from her amazing adventures and im ready to put some money down on saying, she must have some out of the world stories to share...
anyways. its a touch past midnight and its time to catch some shut eye.
my lucid dreaming has been improving this week, i lost complete control a few nights in the past two weeks.
the sweetest dreams to all of you.

ive been giving it a lot of thought lately.
two sets are under review.
i always hear "make more sets" from members which is a compliment but it takes at least a year minimum until they get picked up. then i see other girl's getting several a year picked up. i shouldn't compare but its sometimes hard not to.
i remember signing in a few months back to remove the set break in thinking it would never get picked up to see that it finally got accepted almost a year after it went into review.
i'll be weighing out the negatives and the positives and right now its about at an even 50/50 so for now i'm sitting on the fence.
