Totally agree. Obviously as you know by my Facebook page I've been blasting out for a couple of days about this subject.

I dunno what to say or where to begin. I am straight as an arrow and I can see very plainly that what happened with these two young men was completely screwed up! It would be so nice to live in a civilized world where the relationships of citizens were not the legal property of government or forced by familial influence. Sadly, instead, we remain subjects of a barbarian culture with barbarian ideologies.

It just hurts my heart ... I don't know why people are so narrow minded and dense. I was talking to my dad (a preacher) about how I felt with North Carolina and the President coming out to support gay marriage and all the other stuff going on...and at first, he was like "well the bible says...and we believe" but once I broke down like... if you go taking the rights and privileges of one group, you are putting all the others in danger....he saw my point and got real quiet. My dad isn't discriminatory...I used to bring home gay friends, and being of questionable sexuality myself...it's something he's respected,but he has his beliefs. People just need to realize their personal beliefs should not dictate the rights of the masses. And if you're willing to sacrifice the rights of one group, who is to say that you won't be next? If they're this upset over validating (legally) gay relationships....what's to stop them from backtracking on woman's rights? Minority rights? We already see what's going on with immigration... *sighs* It just makes me one extremely sad panda.

It's painful, I know no other way to describe it. They showed a couple who's kid will lose insurance... and the opponents option was for them to lie to get her insured. Like this was their official, valid option. Really ?! That's less harmful then letting people live their lives and raise their families. Sad time for us in America... all of us.

this is so painful and tragic. I'm glad that this man found the power and strength in all of this tragedy to fight what is a horrible and corrupt system. Thank you for sharing this
