Afternoon of Job hunting at Washington Square Mall...my hand hurts sooo bad from filling out applications. Me thinks I need to hit my man up for a hand massage later. At least I have a fun night to look forward to because Handsome_Jack, myself and our friend Lucas are going to see The Reverend Horton Heat with Nashville Pussy opening. Yay! If only I had some Rockabilly outfit I could wear... Hope everyone out in SG land is still enjoying their blazing hot summer!

Holy Crap! KMFDM is SO great live! I was literally on the stage right in front of Lucia for the whole show and she and Steve both came right up to us...yes, I had the incredibly hot Lucia like 6 inches away from my face for at least a 1/4 of the show and let me tell you, that is some INTENSE eye contact. I'll try to track down my friend's pics from the show later.

I'm also happy to report that we now have an apartment all lined up and will be moving up to the Beaverton area next weekend. As of the 14th, no more Southern Oregon! Well, visits of course, but it'll be so nice to get a place that Justin and I can have all to ourselves with no roomies or anything. So exciting!! Now I just need to track down a part-time job...so if anyone in the PDX area has some ideas on a cool job, please, let me know! Thanks!

Hope everyone is doing well in the SG world and out! I'll try to do a bit better of a blog later when things calm down a bit...haven't told you guys about Queens of the Stone Age yet!

OK, about time for a new blog, eh? I've just been so busy I haven't even really made time to look on here so I'm sorry if I'm not up-to-date on what's going on with people or if I haven't commented on a set...which I totally will if you say something.

So, this month is exciting! I had my last day of work on the 30th, SO glad to not be a retail slave anymore! I'm really going to miss some of the people I worked with, but I was very ready for that job to be over with!

Tomorrow Handsome_Jack and I are cruising up to Portland for the weekend to do our final apartment reviews. I got us 6 appointments at various buildings in the Downtown, Goose Hollow and Nob Hill neighborhoods and there is another company with like 13 buildings that lets you just tour them on your own so the goal is to have our place nailed down and be ready to move by the 31st. Yay! I can't wait to live up there!

Also this month, going to be travelling a bit. First will be Palm Beach where I will be tagging along on a business trip. I love my bf's Mom! She volunteered to pay for me to go with them so I'll get to lounge around the pool while they are in their seminars and such. And after that, in part because it is Mom's birthday coming up, we will be going to New Orleans for a few days. I have always wanted to see the French Quarter and now I'll get to go there and to some nice restaurants too...she was talking about going to Emeril's so I'm super excited about that!

And the last thing on the books for this month (and the rest of Summer) are some concerts. 28th- Queens of the Stone Age at the Roseland Theater! woohoo! I really hope someone mouths off to Josh Homme so I can watch him lose his mind in person. Then August 4th-KMFDM at the Wonder Ballroom and The Reverend Horton Heat on the 27th...awesome venue!

So...yes, exciting! Might not be around much with all the fun-ness, but don't take it personally! LOL

Nothing too new here, but I have noticed that work doesn't seem so bad once you know you get to quit soon. yep, the end of the month is my last day at this job! Yay! Good bye crappy city with all your dumb people and meth addicts! Can't say I'll never be stuck in retail again, but if I do, I'm going for a small and/or local business that doesn't attract the type of people that want prepaid airtime! I can't wait to move up to Portland next month!
And next month is also my 10 year reunion. It's crazy to think that it's already been 10 years, but I'm actually really excited to see how my old friends have changed and how everyone has (hopefully) evolved into adults. Should be fun!
