"...Campaign Trail" is a masterpiece! Hell, Hunter was a masterpiece. If you get a chance, watch "Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride". Lots of footage of Hunter, and interviews from those years.

I don't think a commune is the answer . . . there was a big commune in the town in Vermont, where I built a vacation home years ago. It looked fine on the surface , , but it appeared that the women pretty much gave up personal freedoms, and did what they were told to do. I just don't see you in that role. They were also expected to produce children to expand the commune.

I love North Carolina . . wish I could move there. I understand things are booming around the Raleigh-Durham area.

I forgot to mention . . . I recently read "Hells Angels - A Strange and Terrible Saga" by Hunter S Thompson.

I also read articles by him in Rolling Stone and Playboy years ago.

He was one of a kind!

Sorry about the house thing. That's a bummer. I'm reading a book right now called "The Joke's Over" by Ralph Stedman who was the guy that did all the crazy illustrations for Hunter S Thompson and it just sort of details his time with Thompson over the 30-some years that they knew each other. It's pretty cool and it's actually gotten me interested in reading the very book that you're reading, so I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying that one as well!
