Another day in Paradise...

I watched a really cool animated movie last night called Heavy Metal. All of my friends have been having birthdays like crazy. Yesterday was the big 29th celebration for dewi.

I mostly just wanted to write a new blog in order to get that picture of me smiling like a crazy person off of my page everytime I logged on. Haha.

Heavy Metal nice. I hope it was the Original from like 25 years ago and not that crappy 2000 version.

A lot of us were actually disappointed when it came out on VHS (shut up...) because it was so cool that the only way any of us could have it is if we were able to get it off of the one or two showings HBO or Cinemax had a year. You really had to work to get it.

Now it's too easy.

Still, the movie is rad. I *love* Hanover Fiste and Stern.

I am glad you didn't take the comment as effrontery; it wasn't, either. Just, I didn't see anything to signify goth/"goth", save for the black nail-polish... & after seeing a fifty-something years old woman, a dog-groomer, I think, wearing black nail-polish on Wednesday eve last week, even that signifier seems less & less meaningful.

As to the re-titling, an SNL 'Celebrity Jeopardy!' nod wouldn't hurt: "S-Words". That, or a Lady Guinevere/of the Lake/Godiva reference. Something appropriately... pagan, maybe, is a word that would do... But I don't like that word, either. (Not particularly to your recent work, but in general. I do get a kick out of the last name "Pagan" (accented second syllable), though, even more 'Angel Pagan' who, last I knew, was playing for the Cubs.)
