“Scene: Me and this gal here (we'll call her "Scout") are in a restaurant in Orange County, CA circa 1998, sitting at this massive table otherwise occupied by about a dozen bulimic high school girls. Over the course of the hour-long meal, I witnessed every one of these girls (except Scout) get up to go to the bathroom at least twice. It was absolute insanity, and for that single, solitary hour, I felt like Scout was the most well-adjusted girl in that room. She made me feel a lot less weird than I would have had I been there without her - though I'm not quite sure why I would have been there without her since they were her friends.
Beyond that, Scout's super mental in a great way, and I am genuinely looking forward to seeing her again someday soon...hopefully in person and somewhat clothed.

PS: I haven't even touched on the generous loan of her Volvo, her extremely clean and very white house, or the daily visits to In and Out Burger and some Mexican place that I can't remember the name of. Classic.”
