I am in my last 2 weeks of school term, so anything i could possibly write is going to be school related. this translates into really, really boring. but read on, i dare you. I am struggling to design a sculpture for an assignment. The assignement being to create a 3 dimensional object based on some vague reference to a modernist architect and perhaps using some concept of the elements, i.e. earth, fire, ect. i am at a loss. i think i need to learn how to pour concrete. i'm cutting up books and coffee holders. and watching a documentary on tadao ando, beautiful japanese architect. builds with concrete these kind of still, almost existential spaces. i haven't done my laundry in i can't even remeber how long.

Check out Rachel Whiteread. She creates these interior molds of spaces, entire rooms, bathttubs, water towers. Like the ghosts of themselves, negative impressions of the places we inhabit. You may know her already. I don't ever write to people on this site, but I was struck by your face, and anyone who likes Calvino and Murakami is good by me. Good luck with the project. Remember that concrete is a basic material so wear gloves when you're handling it wet.

Scrumtrelescant set! I know that last-month-of-school feeling. I'm on the verge of completing a nine month course, and the pressure and impatience are consuming me. All I can talk about is being DONE. Keep truckin'!

Where do you go to art school? I see that you're in California, but I'm hoping that it's not closer to LA than SF--where most of the extremely beautiful, awesomest SGs are. Wherever you are, I'll be scouting you out...either for more pictures--DAMN!--or for a possible meeting in the existential spaces of life. I don't know--you're somewhat sculpturesque yourself, and are ultimately derived from the elements (earth, air, wind, fire), but I don't know how a sculpture of you would vaguely reference any modernist architect. Not my specialty, you know (all I can think of is how "the body is a temple" and that some crazy modernist architect must have designed some "temple" resembling or at least inspired by the perfect female form...). Good luck figuring out what to do!

Are you natively from California?
I loved your set and your everything. Your interests in life seem to be in a spectrum far away from my own, which is a little intimidating smile but amazing. Congrats beautiful. blush

Yuck. I hated most of my fine arts professors. Bunch of arrogant a-holes. Always told me I didn't try hard enough.

Then again, I was pretty terrible at art. That's why I changed majors to computer science. I'm much better at being a nerd.

And omg welcome to SG. First set is a stunner.
