Guess what. I have shoddy balance.

That's me, mid-fall, trying to do a cute 'kick the leg up' pose, at a shoot on Monday. And obviously, failing

Aside from that, Monday went great! We were shooting some promo pics for my new business. I'd organised 5 other models, 3 makeup artists, 1 hair stylist and a photographer (Valkyrie of course) Granted, the hair stylist bailed 2 days before the shoot, as did one of the models (the day before), and one of the makeup artists (the morning of). But all in all, everything worked, and everything ran smoothly on the day. So I am pleased

I've seen a couple of the unedited images so far, and I must say, I'm super excited to see the rest today when I pick up the cd. I'm really, really impressed with how they are looking so far, even unedited. The girls all look GREAT! The mua's did a fantastic job. Everyone's makeup was just how I wanted it. And even with no hair stylist, the girls managed to help each other out and get some nice hairstyles happening.

It was really nice watching the girls do their thing. Each girl bringing their own talents and style to the shoot. Seeing each girl bringing new poses and different looks to the table. And even with the girls having her own style, we still managed to all fit in well together and pull off some really nice group shots.

So fingers crossed (although I'm feeling pretty confident) that we have some amazing images to use for my salon posters/brochures/cards/signs ect.

It was really good to be back shooting again. I haven't done a photoshoot in a good couple of months I think. I was really starting to miss it. At this stage, I think I only have 1, maybe 2, other shoots organised. I've been so busy with other things, it's insane. Shame really, I do love doing it. I never starting modeling for the money. I started, and continued doing it, because it has been such a great release for me. A way for me to express myself. I could base my shoots around how I was feeling at the time, express that through the colours, the vibe, the emotions, the poses. And that's why I loved it. Most of the shoots I did were ME. My ideas, my style, my creations. And now my mind is just..... bleh. So many other things are floating around in my mind right now, my creativity and ideas have gone on holiday. I don't want to shoot anything, just for the sake of shooting. I'm waiting, hoping all the crazy muddled up mess in my brain calms down soon, so I can conjure up some amazing idea to shoot.

Speaking of shoots and things... 'Spring is...' has had it's 3 months in MR, so I'm tossing up between taking it down and leaving it there. My personal goal for my sets is always 600 comments, and anything after that is a bonus. It has reached that, so I'm pleased. And 'Oral Fixation' isn't far behind, so I'm happy with how those sets have gone, and they've both reached my goal. So now, I guess, where to from here?
