My next tattoo appointment is on the 28th. Woo hoo! Doing mostly all underarm work, so it's going to be a tough session. Can't wait to see this thing finished though. I'm already getting stopped on the street with questions about it, people shouting at me from their cars while driving by, etc.

Today while I was driving to work, I saw this ASSHOLE abuse his adorable little dog. The dog went to run after something, and the FUCKER yanked the dog HARD by the leash - he flew like 3 feet off the ground and flipped around. Could have easily broken his neck. I slammed on my brakes in the middle of the street and jumped out and started yelling at that MOTHERFUCKER. I felt so horrible for that cute little weiner dog, thinking about all the abuse it takes every day from that fucker. I wanted to take the dog from that horrible old man, but I just yelled at him. He looked at me for a second, but just kept walking. I was so shaken up when I got to work, & I still want to cry.

The gold cross is real 24kt gold leaf that was designed and applied by my friend, the fucking rad artist Michael Hussar. It took DAYS to remove - goldleaf adhesive is meant for canvas and wood, not bare skin.
...but I LOVED walking around with a secret gold cross on my pussy!! I wanted to show everyone.
The Confessional is built into Hussar's bedroom - it and everything in it was designed by him. The eyeball paintings on the wall were featured in his last exhibition, Red Red Robin.

Tibet monasteries on lockdown after protests

BEIJING (Reuters) - Chinese authorities sealed off three monasteries in Tibet, reports said on Friday, after a wave of rare street protests in the remote, Buddhist region whose rule has become a focus for critics ahead of the Beijing Olympics.
The demonstrations, which also spilled into Chinese provinces populated by Tibetans, began earlier this week after marches around the world to mark the 49th anniversary of a failed uprising against Communist rule.
"All three monasteries are closed off to tourists," the Washington-based International Campaign for Tibet said in a statement, citing tourism operators. "There is an intensified atmosphere of fear and tension in Tibet's capital."
On Monday, 500 monks from the Drepung monastery staged a march in Lhasa, which was later followed by action from monks at the Lhasa-area Sera and Ganden monasteries. Security personnel fired tear gas on at least one of the demonstrations, reports said.
Tibet's spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, fled into exile in India after the uprising in 1959, nine years after Chinese troops invaded.
This week's shows of defiance are likely to worry China's leadership as it seeks to secure a stable environment for the Games, which open on August 8.
The U.S.-government funded Radio Free Asia (RFA) reported that monks from Sera were on a hunger strike, demanding the withdrawal of Chinese paramilitary force from the monastery compound and the release of monks detained earlier this week.
Two monks from Drepung were in critical condition after attempting suicide by slitting their wrists, RFA said.
The number of Tibetans detained could not be confirmed, but the watchdog groups said they expected government reprisals.
"There are indications that the authorities have begun a process of investigation in monasteries that could lead to detention and torture," the International Campaign for Tibet said.
The New York-based Human Rights Watch called on China, as well as Nepal and India, which have seen similar demonstrations, to release detained Tibetans.
"Peaceful demonstrations are protected under international and domestic laws and they should be permitted, not violently dispersed," Sophie Richardson, the group's Asia advocacy director, said in a statement.

Who wants to make me a copy of Greaser's Palace??? PLEASE contact me if you have one you're willing to give me or burn for me! Either DVR or Mp4 is fine. The damn thing went out of print right after it was released in 2000, and I'm kicking myself in the ass for not getting one then. Used copies are nearly a hundred bucks on Amazon & Ebay.
It's one of my absolute favorite films - a weird 70s surrealist avant-garde spaghetti western about the life of Christ, directed by Robert Downey Sr. Ever since seeing Jodorowsky's The Holy Mountain last week, I've been dying to see GP again, but I want to own it, not Netflix it.
...And a reminder to please stay tuned for the rest of SG's "Icons Week." Don't think I'm exactly an icon here, but whatever, I'm just glad my set is finally on its way up. I actually did a happy-dance and yelped and squealed when I found out I was queued.
I'm also thinking about the possibility of selling prints. I don't know, it feels weird, like it's too vain or something. I don't need the money or anything, and I don't want to be part of the group of girls whose blogs just beg people to buy things from or for them... I doubt I'll actually get around to having them made up. I just like the idea of having something personal & (kind-of) handmade available, since I'm too lazy to make drawings or some other cute little knicknack (like Eddie used to do before she was archived). Who am I to question the depth of my own vanity anyway. I've got hundreds of nekkid pics on the net for no other reason!

Last night I finally went to check out the drawing for my sleeve. It's fucking perfect. Day after tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!
I got a haircut last weekend, and the stylist really butchered it. I'm pretty sure my old stylist was on drugs the last time I went to her (or at least coming down from a looong night of drugs), and she totally fucked it up. So I called the Aveda salon & got whoever was there. Of course they gave me the brand-new-girl who sucks. She cut my bangs while they were still wet (DUH), and so of course they're like 2 inches too short. I really didn't want to go back to Bettie bangs, but I guess they'll grow out soon enough.
Decided against going to Kinkball. Must treat new tattoo with kindness.
