ok, so maybe i was a little frustrated in my last post, but it was mostly with myself, not sg. this weekend was so amazing and it sort of reminded me why i want to do this in the first place.
i don't know where to begin really...as you probably already know if you read my blog at all, me and my husband were headed down to the richomond, va tattoo convention so i could do a shoot with scottsmallin. i got off work around four on saturday, my manager let me off early because shes awesome. i came home and packed the rest of my shit, and we left around six. the drive went pretty smoothly. no stops, no accidents, and no getting lost...which is amazing for me. we got down there and checked into our hotel around ten. we were so exhausted and hungry, we picked up some wendys and chilled out in our hotel. i slept so good. the only complaint i really have about the hotel was out toilet wouldn't flush the whole time! good thing we were only there for a few hours...haha! we woke up super early around six. i wanted to have enough time to get our complimentary breakfast and have time to get ready. i talked to scott and we met in the lobby of the convention hotel. where i hear some pretty crazy shit went down the night before and it made me kind of glad that we didn't stay there. sort of.
he got all of his equipment and set it up in the stairway where we did the shoot. it was a really good experience. he made me feel really comfortable and has a really positive vibe. i learned a lot about poses and the whole modeling process. i feel like i should start a new paragraph...
my husband, chris, stood at the top of the stairs and scott was at the bottom. i think at least three times people tried to come through. who takes the stairs anymore?! the janitor totally got to sneek a peek. it was so funny. then chris stopped some other people from coming through. so silly.
the pictures turned out awesome and i couldn't have asked for a better time. of course we got to check out the convention afterwards. i didn't get a tattoo because im getting my sleeve finished in less than two weeks and wanted to save the money for that. but i did get a really cute skirt and purse, and some undies! i'll take some pictures later.
what else...i got my picture taken for east coast ink magazine and it would be super cool if i end up in it! i have to watch for that. te he! i had a picture of my alkaline trio tattoo taken for some book thats being put together about rock tattoos which is pretty cool. but mostly i got to meet and hang out with some awesome people and go to a place i've never been before to do something i've never done before and i'll never forget it. woo.
it was really hard to come back to real life and my job today. blah. especially because it was about ten degrees warmer in richmond and we came home to the first snow of the season.
pictures!

the last one is in a bathroom at a sheets after driving for about four hours home. who doesn't like taking pictures of themselves in bathrooms? and thats my husband, chris, with me in the rest of the pics. i don't really have any good convention photos, i was too busy being photographed to take pictures myself! haha.
so thats my story. i hope theres a bunch more stories like this to come.
