SWEET BLOWJOBBY METAL!

Fucking DETHKLOK played a show last night. It was better than most real bands. The violinist was the most breathtaking creature I have ever seen, the woman of my dreams. I will find her, and I will marry her.
I've been more AWOL from SG than usual lately, and I do apologize for that. One reason is that I am literally booked almost every waking hour of almost every day -- I'm in rehearsals for a new show on top of all my other stuff. I'm so tired. The other reason is that the atmosphere around here is changing.
Don't expect it to change any time soon, either, since on Friday I'm going to Austria and then Israel, a blessed respite from my life here. And hopefully I will get to meet two amazing women: Wendy and Katya! Once I get back we go into hardcore rehearsals since we open at the end of July, I think. I don't think I'll have a life again until September -- Halloween season!
Here are some of the things I've been up to:
World of the Weird Monster Show! Anyone who's going to Flashback, please stop by the booth and say hi to Undead Johnny, Dementia, Zontar, and all the rest. Be sure to have a ton of fun and then leave me a comment about how awesome it was and how much I should have been there.

Burlesque! Varietease is some of the best burlesque in Chicago! For those of you who weren't able to get tickets for the last show, we are looking for a new, bigger, *air-conditioned* venue. These photos are available as prints, by the way.

Let me just say that I have BIG PLANS for next month's Varietease. Big fucking plans. It will be ridiculous -- ridiculously AWESOME!
We did a promotional photoshoot for the play, and my makeup and costume were fucking incredible, but unfortunately the photos aren't processed yet. Feh. Impatient model.
Please go here and if you like the video, leave it a nice comment. This is such a unique video for SG, with such effort and time and talent, that it really deserves to be recognized and awarded in this month's contest. I know everyone hates when SGs pimp out sets, etc, but that's the way we get paid these days, so your comments and things aren't just ego-stroking, but they help us fund better sets and, in some cases, a Suicide Girl's car registration.

I saw my first firefly of the summer on my way to get the laundry out of the dryer. Who cares if there is a god, or what his name is? When faced with a courtyard full of living nightlights in a haze of humid night air, or flowers that smell like chocolate, or the limbless motion of a sleepy python, all that matters is that I am here to appreciate this totally unfathomable and cruelly beautiful existence.

When you think about the astounding complexity of a single cell, the genius that put us on the moon -- it is shocking that humans haven't figured out how to be nice to each other. So, so flawed.
Speaking of flawed, I've discovered what you get when you're a bad friend: No friends. I try, and I mean well, but honestly I just hate talking on the phone, and I get so much tedious email and PMs that responding is a chore. And I'm tired. Poor excuse really, but there it is. I still love you, even if I don't talk often.
Over and out.
