So heres how it started. I had no one to help me move. my friend bailed so i move everything from my second story apartment to the uhaul trailor that is attaches to my uninsured unregistered warrant for my arrest in new mexico for not showing up for court vehicle.
My best friend saved the day to help me and we got to the street there was no where to park so we fucking park in the middle oof 5th and main to move my shit while fighting off people trying to jack my shit. It was awsome.
So yea if anyone wants to give me advice on how to get around without a car and advice on taking the subways,. i did live in boston so i know the gist but not LA where its like this haha.
But yea. i made it alive and all in all im happy to be here and im happy with my living situation and im looking at it as a good adventure. alright night to you all!

I live to the north of you, in China Town, well, as far the Metro goes, it is pretty limited on where it can take you...so let me know what areas you had in mind.
and well now that you are my neighbor, you can hit your SG friend for advice, I would be gflad to help, I am good with directions, I work for FEDEX
Aside from that, you really do need a car in LA, it is really big.
as for your area, don;t walk alone at night it gets rough at times.
well like I said hit me up and tell me which way you are planning to travel because the metro can take you places.

There's no place like The T in Boston.... but all i know about LA is what my friend tells me who lives there......she drives a car and spends hours in it just to go 2 miles.

me and roach used to take the metro from our place on 7th and Fig to work everyday. we would then either walk from the vine station to the office or hop on the bus, it depended on how we were feelin that day and whether or not we wanted to stop at coffee bean first. haha
the public transport aint too bad in LA, it just takes some getting used to.

Man...from my brief time in LA, I learned that a car is practically vital. BUT...the transit system is pretty good, just fairly slow depending where you're trying to go and where you're trying to get there from.
Sorry, I don't really have any real advice...
