i have spent some time with a sweetheart tour guide, kyoko! ive seen geysers, a longhouse from 871 ce, some paintings i adored, some i did not care for, a geologic rift valley that straddles two continents, lots of cute horses, some tiny cats, and two ugly dogs. i have been eating a lot of pastries.
basically, everything is pretty exciting! before i was in iceland, i spent a week in california with 3 of the people i like most! irinka/uproot/_mike_. then i went back to vancouver for a few days, cuddled my cats till they exploded, and headed out for more adventure...
next up: oslo, stockholm, berlin, prague, vienna, trieste, ljubljana, pule, krakow, budapest, istanbul, etc!
btw, i am blogging with greater frequency over here at our souls are birds. if you feel like keeping up with me, that's the place to do it!
how about a new blog? it promises 800% more breast action. i swear it.
first off: a new thing i did a few days ago! it's a video! i think it captured me, how i really am. see, i am all trying to be sexy, but then i laugh a bunch, and it's silly instead. the bonafide rin experience, i swear.

i am making malloreighs increidble mac and cheese, perogies, "brie" pear and cranberry tarts, and some other stuff...and messhell is making som e veg and gravy and bringing the rum and field roast. i have soy nog. just because we are vegans doesn't mean wer go without.
AUGH time to go lay down and try not to barf oh yes

this past september, i passed my six year anniversary of showing you guys my ta-tas! holy fuck, does that ever make me feel old.
here is what i have been up to since i last updated:
had a birthday, travelled internationally, made supper for meshell, got drunk with malloreigh a whole bunch, hand-crafted a bunch of bouquets, got sick, got better, got sick again, rode my bike around, ate a tonne of good food, got nearly all my holiday shopping done, been sewing a bunch, watching so much tv and drawing my ass off.
here i am in a bookstore. for those who don't care too much about organisation, it might be heaven. for those who are claustrophobic or need to organise, it might be hell.
oh, and, i've got an early christmas present for you.

1.) i fell on my bike today! it was my first bail on my new bike. the only good part: i skinned my knee over an old skateboarding scar, so it has no feeling. at all! it doesn't hurt, but it bled a whole bunch. hard X cooooooore!

more proof i am an accent-thief: today i was asked if i am of eastern european descent. i am, but not recently! i think i am stealing an accent from my croatian coworker. this year, while i was living with this horrible quebecois girl, two people asked if i was french! DON'T HANG OUT WITH ME, i will subconsciously cop on your way of speaking. maybe it's because, deep down, i hate the alberta accent in which i was raised? 10>) i made a cooking vide recenetly....and itw as horrible. sorry guys! ! i have got to make another one, but have it be peppy and fun. ♥ did i tell you all i've been working as a florist? it's a delight, for sure. there are worse days to be spent than those in a fragrant shop surrounded by blossoming flowers. and damn, people are always so happy to be buying them! did i mention there is some serious people-watching outside my store? daaaaamn, all these beautiful girls showing their skin. sets a girl to dreaming, it does.
♥ my balcony garden is coming along smashingly; i've got flowers on my tomatoes, peppers, zucchini & pumpkins, and fruit on my peas & strawberries. i have a few planters of flowers, too (and one is a jasmine plant that i got cause the smell reminds me of san diego).
♥ i'm still going strong on my 365 project. had no idea it would be this easy...

♥ who do you have to blow to get a new profile picture around here? i have submitted a few and they keep not getting accepted. i mean, damn, i have not had a set bought in 4 years, but i didn't think picking out a profile photo that was adequate would be as difficult! DAAAAAAAMN you guys will have to look at my 2007 face for a while longer yet.
♥ to celebrate the longest day of the year, malloreigh and i are gonna go to the best beach around and have a bonfire. maybe we will drink wine and get all KARAZY, but since we are both on post-playoffs booze bans, we will probably take it super easy. and she is going to teach me how to ride a fixie. that shit is intimidating, BUT I WILL MASTER IT

HOLY HYACINTH, you guys. i meant to show you photos of my new sewing stuff but it's getting late and i must watch some buffy before i go to bed. as a treat, you know! i deserve it because i worked a craft market today and didn't sell as much as i wanted. by the way: CHECK MY SHIT OUT. besides what i've got on etsy, i looooove doing custom orders. send me your ideas for a necklace, coin purse, patch, pin, iphone/kindle/kobo cozy and i will work some crazy sewing mojo for you.
HOLY SHIT, everything is happening. i just spent a few days with my fam to say goodbye before i move out-of-province. it was a nice trip but hard in some ways. goodbye is never easy, even when it's just temporary. i recieved a load of advice that should keep me floating for the next six months.
what a whirlwind. today i'm going to get down to work on my sewing before i pack it all in for a few days. tomorrow i have errands and a going-away party; saturday i'm loading my worldly possessions into a van, and sunday's the big day.
i'm about to fire up the buffy episodes & get to work; i'm gonna binge on my easter candy! just yesterday i got a package with lindt eggs and gummy bears from a sweet friend living in germany.
oh, and before i go: check out my new tattoo! i got it last wednesday.
