My experience with cats has taught me one thing: if you leave them food for three days, they'll eat it all in the first day then proceed to poop in difficult to clean places for the next two.
Then again, my cat was an asshole. Loved the basard anyway. Have a good vacation.

i love pixie and pony too ... but the one about winnie and cubby always makes me cry. Without fail. Those are my two favorites I would say. I love Francesca Lia Block

I had a seal point siamese for like 11 years, here's what I suggest for those sudden, unavoidable trips.
Leave moist cat food for the first day, then dried for the remainder in a bigger bowl. Most cats will eat the moist food first, then switch to dry when they have to. Multiple bowls of water is cool too!
Does Misty Blue like the TV or radio on when u r gone? (What? You don't know? try it one day and see if MB is in that room when you sneak in as you get back. If MB is there, cool, if MB is in the farthest room then you know too...)
Leave MBs fave toys out too...
Oh, and kitty litter, start the trip with a fresh mix.
Worst comes to worst, one of us in SG Calgary can cat sit...

Cats are independent. They're probably happy to have the run of the place.
