twenty things you may or may not know about me, in no particular order:
1. i danced ballet for roughly 16 years. five years ago, i thought i would be in a company in boston at this point in my life.
2. i cannot STAND the way vitamins smell. this makes it very hard for me to take them.
3. i can't touch things that smell gross or weird me out. this applies to pictures as well.
4. while i'm very close with my immediate family, i'm not close with the extended parts. i just saw my grandparents for the first time since i was 12 and i felt extremely weird the entire weekend.
5. i don't like to go to unfamiliar places. for instance, there are about 5 different grocery stores in a 5 mile radius of me, but i'll only go to the one thats 15 minutes away because i like it better. it makes me nervous to go to any others. this applies to gas stations, restaurants, coffee places, etc. yet i am ok with the prospect of moving to entirely new cities.
6. my brother was kicked out of my house when i was 10 years old. i woke up one morning to my parents crying in the kitchen and all of his stuff on the front porch in trash bags. we didn't talk to him for two years. to this day, i get upset talking about it.
7. when i was a freshman in college, i slept with a guy from my dorm a couple times. several months later he was at a party and shit his pants. people made fun of me for being the girl that slept with the guy who shit his pants, even though he had a girlfriend at the time.
8. my younger sister used to beat the living shit out of me when she was 16. she threatened to kill me if i came home one day while my parents were out of town and i had to stay at random friends' houses for a week so she wouldn't know where i was... i couldn't go to my apartment or anyones house where she knew where they lived.
9. i'm impulsive. both of my tattoos were picked out and then gotten within 12 hours. when i decide i want to go somewhere i buy the plane ticket that day. waiting kills me.
10. more often than not, i care more about other people's feelings than my own.
11. when i got my period for the first time, i stayed in bed and cried for 5 days.
12. when i was 16, three girls threw dog food at my best friend and i backstage at a performance of the nutcracker. this is one of two instances in my life where people have held a permanent grudge over a christmas card that i received.
13. i have an amazing long term memory. i remember the first time we met, the first thing you said to me, and more intricate details than you even care about.
14. i forget to ask people important questions when i meet them. for instance, my roommate and i know more about each other than most people, but i still don't actually know what she does for work. it's just not that important to me.
15. i like to fly on planes. it's calming for me.
16. i went to one of my ta's senior thesis. making a long story short, i spilled beer on him in his rented tux. talking about it makes me nauseous. this happened over three years ago.
17. most people's first impression of me is completely opposite of who i really am.
18. beautiful music makes me cry.
19. i know how to love, but i don't know how to be loved. too many broken relationships make me question people's motives, and its a hard pattern to break. i'm more than willing to learn.
20. i used to think that ponderosa was a kind of car until i was about twelve years old.

two days ago it was sunny and 60, yesterday was kind of rainy but warm, today i went outside to three inches of ice caked onto my car, and tomorrow's forecast is sunny and 55. where is my tardis i need to leave.
what if i left everything behind? i think about that a lot. i think i've used up my resources here. the more i go out, the more i wish i'd have stayed locked in my room alone. and why doesn't anyone understand that when i say all i want to do is sit in my room and listen to heart really loud, i actually mean that i want to sit in my room and listen to heart really loud.
in other news, i found cheap vision insurance so i can finally get new glasses. my last pair melted... but it doesn't really matter since the lenses do nothing for me anyway.

first and foremost, everyone should know that while i can write well, i am the least poetic person....ever. officially. i mean, i say things like "ew, barf." ask xPiratex. however, ambiguity is where i excel. just so you're not expecting anything.
i went to the pants store today and got some really tight jeans. tight guess zip 3 jeans that have zippers at the bottom. nobody really needs those. i went down a size... again... haaaaa. i also did some laundry and hung out with the small dog. i tried to take a picture of him and me, but it turned out to be about 20 pictures that look like this:
the amount of comments i've gotten on here *already* is insane. internetting is cool.
