thoose shots are so gorgous! and i love the style of photography! doggies are cute, and i struggle with good sun protection, i once found factors over 100 in a ski equipment shop, maybe look online in one, i was wearing 85 when i went skiing and still came back red :/ haha

SPF 50 is the highest true value sunscreen can give, even though you can find as high as 100+ in shops. It's a gimmick.

Careful, too. You actually need a little unfiltered sun once in a while, unless you are a vampire.

Here in the US the FDA (food and drug administration) is just completing a re-working of requirements for sunscreen makers, forbidding them from marketing anything higher than SPF50. This is because the products *don't* give any higher protection and need re-application. People were thinking they were protected better than they really were, you see. Also banned are terms like 'water-proof', 'sweat-proof', and the like. So, if you are using 50 you are doing as best as you can. Also using 'baby' formula is good - it is designed to be gentle for children so in my book is good for adults too.

I dunno about Italy, but here in the states that's the best we got as far as sunscreen.
