This weekend was insane.
It was BMEfest/ModProm
I'm still waiting to get pictures, so i'll post them when i get'em...but i'm still working off the hang over and trying to figure out where all these bruises came from.
I met some really amazing people: maee, as well as solace and her husband jesseV who are possibly the sweetest people I've met from SG
At the ModProm after party I got to lay on a bed of nails for the first time...2" spread!!! It was very cool.
Also...I need to shoot a new set, so i thought i would ask for some suggestions from you guys and gals since its really for you.

So i've been trying to find a new apartment lately.
I've got a big 2 bdrm now, and its a great price considering location/size but stilll, paying $1000/month alone is kinda balls.
i figured if i move into a cheaper 1 bdrm, I could be walking distance from work, pay less, and still have enough space to live, just as long as the place had a big enough livingroom that i could set it up like a bach. and give the kids the bedroom.
This is proving to be much harder than i had thought. Can you beleive that for a shitty typical 1 bdrm apt they want $1350 + ulilities!?!??!
are people actually paying this much?
I can't see how, unless you're DINK's and then well fuck you and your coupled apartment shopping bliss hahaha
ugh.
Anyways, there's a possibility I could switch apartments with the people nextdoor, they are in a 1 bdrm now, and want a bigger place...plus i think my rent would drop about $200 so that would be encredible.
But yeah, this city is getting so crazy. Shitty little apartments you couldn't pay me to live in cost at least $1000/mo
might as well be a storage locker, cause they're all basements, and have no windows.
The longweekend coming up is bound to be AMAZING

But now i'm stressing over what to wear again...I need to go shopping.

I still remember every line, and every word to every song. Chances are i'll be standing, dancing, and belting out every lyric. Its going to be awesome!!!

I've decided to not date for the rest of the summer. Dating seems so contrived these days. I'm much more interested in meeting people at face value and building friendships, rather than trying to force a relationship because someone checked out my facebook page and thinks that based on a list of stats and pictures, I'm the kind of girl they should be dating/fucking/whatever.
I'm also probably never going to the bovine again. I went last friday to see a friends band and the entire time i was there i couldn't wait to leave. Its not that the band wasn't great, cause they were. And its not that the staff isn't totally awesome to me, cause they are. Its that I'm so sick of feeling like I'm meeting the same people all the time. and that everyone that I meet with in those kinds of social settings already have preconcieved notions of who i am. I want to be annoynomous. I want someone to meet me for me, and not for the things they've heard, or the people i once dated.
A great thing about this city is that all you have to do is go a few blocks east, or a few intersections south, and you're in a whole other social circle. Thats what I'm banking on.
I'm finally finding a good balance in my life. I've been reconnecting with friends, and building new friendships with the kind of people who aren't caught up in status and rumours. I've got a great job which allows me finacial freedom and stability. I'm finding a way to balance my obligations, my socializing, and my downtime.
Downtime is key. And gives me time to reflect of the changes my life has gone through. I really feel like i'm in a good head space, and although its taken me going through some shit to get here, I wouldn't change a thing.
Its the journey that brings you home.
and now, to lighten the mood...children eating organic waffels and veggie sausage

i started my last blog by stating how bored I had been lately...That is far from the truth now! Life got busy!
The new Salon is amazing, and I'm loving working full time and being ubber busy again. Saturday I worked 9 hours with only a 15 minute break in the day...and while it was exhausting, is exactally how I want my weekends to go. I can't wait till I get my next pay check!!!!
So what have i been up to for the past 2 weeks?
Well...Started the new job at Fluid Hair Studio (416-623-0181 if you'd like to get your hair done)
I did hair for FAT Alternative Fashion Week for my friends clothing lines UsThemWe and Inner Geek
I also was given the oppourtunity to walk for usthemwe again this year....so here are some photos...
I also got the chance to pose for the always amazing ZAIDEN in his photobooth instalation at FAT and got this picture sent to me
Shortly after FAT, I caught what ever this evil illness is going around the city, and that has had me out of commision a good bit for the last week and a half. Finally got my ass to the doctor and sure enough, it transformed into a chest infection. But I got some antibiotics, and I'm pretty much better now. All thats left is a runny nose and an irritating cough...but thats on its way out.
I found out reccently that i will be an aunt, and my kids will finally have a cousin! Yay!!! My sister sent me the ultrasound images last night and I'm oh so smitten with the lil one
Other than that...I've just been getting lots of rest, and going out occasionally. Enjoying this amazing weather we've been having and walking around the city for hours.
Life is certainly on the up swing for me...and i'm really looking forward to the summer. I think its going to be a good one.
Other than that, I gave my self some new bangs, and have been sporting the extensions again
and heres a few random photos from my outings...
we were trying to line the melons up with my boobs haha I don't know why there were melon stickers on the mirror, but there were also coconuts on the other side!

I have been SO bored lately. and getting pretty fed up of being my own boss. I'm thinking getting an actual pay chq would be nice for a change of pace, so i made a few appts, and I got 2 job offers today. i took one of them!!!

oh yeah, I got my eyebrows tattooed. I can go swimming this summer with out stressing about loosing the little suckers. i think its awesome.
