hi, love burgers smile

how are you, tonight?

a little over a week ago i went to brooklyn, new york, for the smelliest and perhaps greatest show i have ever been to:

EYEHATEGOD WAS FUCKING SICK.
the opening bands all kicked ass as well (the communion, clean teeth, magrudergrind)

an all inclusive little vacation because i got to hang out with my best pal, zepp101
always the best of times.
there is no one i can crush beers and conversate with like the zepp.

in fact, i rarely conversate with anyone.
i might even go so far as to say that i am a terrible conversationist most of the time.

if words exchanged do not come freely and naturally
i prefer silence.
i despise those who feel the need to constantly be verbalizing.
shut the fuck up. meaningless conversation is also pointless.
put a sock in it. stop talking. stop breathing. do whatever it takes.

occasionally i'll exchange a mere glance with a stranger and it means more to me than hours of babbling with long-time acquaintances late nights in a bar.

soul-lingerers.

i believe in tiny, fleeting loves.
that mean nothing at all, or perhaps they mean everything.

not in a romantic sense, really. just a sort of understanding between humans that is rare to find. at least for me. i can recall several people over the course of my life who i have looked in the eye in passing and experienced a closeness that i cannot explain. spectral meetings upon an unlikely strand in the web. brief talks with strangers about entropy and multifaceted moon reflections...

what am i talking about again?

oh yes.

there is an old proverb that states:
a true friend will enlighten you as to the greatness of adidas pants.

don't question me.

before that i was home in virginia for thanksgiving.
i have been so overwhelmed with work and school for the past few months,
enjoying hardly any of either.
its been hard to get a grip on much of anything.
blech puke
either way,

i enjoyed a morning's coffee for the first true time since the summer

the most simple moment can become everything you needed
no matter how much time has passed.

when i was home i was lucky enough that exhumed, municipal waste, and fucking napalm death were playing in richmond while i was there!!! a rexxy could not have asked for a nicer surprise!! \m/

i have been re-reading the poetics of space, by gaston bachelard.
it is so lovely.
i have so many books to be read soon. and more on the way.
one must be properly suited up for the ultimate hibernation, after all. smile

shotgun shot a new set of me.
along with sea hag, by LizardAM
i think it could be my favorite ever,
a true capturing of my mind and form.
i couldn't be happier with either.
since my first set in 2008, none of my submissions have been picked up.
i'm not discouraged, as i love each and every one dearly and had the best of times shooting them and meeting wonderful people..
so yet again, i really hope this one suits all of your fancies. and perhaps makes it all the way. blush

the queue is backed up all the way into march for member review,
so it will be quite some time until you can see it,
but it looks a little something like this

i don't have much else to say at all, forgive me

goodnight, world. kiss

talk to you soon, baby wink

Haha, I've done that. Metal band names start to all sound the same eventually. Entombed is definitely iconic but Exhumed is way more fun! puke

EHG and Magrudergrind? totally jealous. I haven't seen Magrudergrind in almost a decade.

also, "

i despise those who feel the need to constantly be verbalizing.
shut the fuck up. meaningless conversation is also pointless.
put a sock in it. stop talking. stop breathing. do whatever it takes."
I couldn't agree more! I am the exact same way.

hope all is well

There is no work here in the summer so yeah, Hermit Heep.. haha.. though I may or may not have left the house during the hours of 2-4 in the morning. Summers in the desert have no need for clothing. I even got over the horniness initially acquired during long term nakedness. All for science, of course. *shifty eyes*

It strikes me the way you describe conversation. I always enjoy our exchanges, and I'm sure I'd enjoy meeting you (not meant to be a line). You're smart, funny, thoughtful, poetic even; seems like a good time to me.
As a native Houstonian, I'm fine with a warm winter, although I can handle a brief spell of seasonal chilliness. Looks like we'll have a bit this week; January and February are our coldest months.
We have a great craft beer scene in Houston and I'm enjoying it. We're lucky enough to have a number of small, family pubs, cafes, diners and such in our part of town. It makes me happy to support local businesses.
The pets are great! Bogie keeps me well exercised.
I think my next update will be on my noir themed ink. It's a work in progress, but it's at a point it would be fun to share.
Have a great winter, Beautiful!

I'd enjoy your company as well! Next time you're in the Houston or Austin, Texas area, let me know and we'll see what we can work out.
I have long standing, but unfulfilled plans to get to Gettysburg and see that part of the country. If I can put that together, I'll let you know, too. At the least, I'd appreciate any recommendations you'd have about visiting Pennsylvania.
Always a pleasure, Beautiful! Take care of yourself.

Your pie idea is sick. If you want pointers (yeah, in one of my previous incarnations I was an actual pastry chef in Philly, though what I've forgotten by now is miles beyond what i recall) just say the word.

With pie dough, like bread, it all ends up being about the feel....

And FWIW, I'm still glad to be back, and it's cool to know you are, too wink

First comment: Yes. Surprise. But a good one. smile

Second comment: I like the way you think. (duh, pea pod twins) The air in there is phenomenal. Nothing like the smell of old books. However, would a dodecagon be too much? Almost a circle at that point I suppose. tongue
