i wish i lived in a world where we didn’t put so much of our faith into machines

at any given hour of any given day, at some intersection, somewhere
with not a car in sight,
there’s always one person that stops.
waits for the walk sign.
goes.
never a car in sight.

i always laugh a little.

its not that serious, baby.

most things aren't.

in other news i spent sunday at the zoo.

spent a good while staring at the sea dragons and jelly fish
and thinking:
how can one succumb to the worries of the world
how can we live with obstacles to what we truly want
(obstacles are only in the mind. they only exist if we allow them to exist)
how can we take anything too seriously besides living life to the fullest,
for what we want and love and not what's easiest. what will raise the least question,
when such wondrous and seemingly impossible creatures exist as these?

a thought that somehow made sense and didn't at the same time,
but it was there.

i moved on to the penguins and was standing transfixed as they zipped past through the water
children were screaming. pointing. crying. complaining. poking the glass.
running into me and everyone.
strollers took up space.
people looked unhappy, took up space.
couples held hands and stopped and walked on.
some smiled and it was nice,
some took up space.
babies shit their diapers.
penguins dove and swam
and didn't care.
the world stood still.
people looked hurried, dissatisfied,
took up space.
i just didn't understand the sadness and strange clarity in that moment at all
but i did understand, perfectly.

i smiled and walked on.
wondering what do i really want, now.

whats next.

i could use a drink over good conversation flowing like the hair of a mermaid in the sea.
flowing like the sea itself.
meaning something like the sea
(in winter, sunrise, noone around)

i could use the sea.

something deep and wondrously paralyzing.

anyway i'm at the coffeshop and my time is out.

this probably makes no sense at all smile

p.s. thanks again for all the sweet comments on my new set smile

I can be considerably rambly and weird myself, more than likely in different ways but, honestly, weird is good. I mean... have you actually MET any NORMAL people? they're boring, and have flat, monotonous personalities and characters! why be the sheep when you can actually think and be better, ya know? wink tongue

Yes I agree! If I didn't have a dog who I love more then anything I would just grab a bag and go to! I just refuse to put him through that kind of life. Hope you can get out and move around again soon!

How satisfied would you be with your existence if you didn't know of the existence of others? If you thought that how your life was turning out was the only possible path?

I have mixed feelings about aquaria. Mostly because they make me want to be there.underwater. breathing, floating, being in their environment.

it completely makes sense. It's nice to know that other people think that way.. feel that way. This was the perfect day to read this, too. Was having a crappy day because of finances.. so reading this has helped me put what's really important into perspective. Bring me back where I need to be. So, thank you. I really did need this. kiss

It makes a world of sense. the fact that these people are running around aimlessly, unhappy and annoyed, causes us to look at ourself. which causes us to see how happy, content we are, bringing balance to this world.
if it was not for them, how would we judge ourselves?

you know, this reminds me. i was recently down in florida and i hit up both disney and universal studios. the one thing that stood out to me was that no one really looked happy (less so at universal than disney). you had some people who waited in lines with friends and family and they were talking and joking and having a good time despite the 8000+ degree temperature and the humidity that had us all swimming...but the majority of people just looked miserable. why spend (in some cases) thousands of dollars to go "entertain" yourself when you arent going to be enjoying it. oh, also. if you have a kid and they are before an age where they will remember things, dont bring them anywhere. it does them no good, you'll never enjoy yourself, and usually having a screaming baby around only makes other people miserable as well.

I find these types of people go to these places just because they exist and never stop to truly appreciate anything and it saddens me that they never will, just good little drones doing as they are supposed to. I feel like I was there at the zoo staring in wonder behind your eyes. An old experience remembered like it was yesterday. You already know we have practically identical thought patterns. smile

I need to get out of this room! Europe only scratched the surface of my cumulative coalescing seclusion madness.

I love reading what you write. You always have something very interesting to say...and very well written. I agree with others when they say that it really gets me thinking.
