I only just found out that I CAN use my laptop here to leech someones wireless connection so I've wasted a ton of money paying this pokey little cockroach infested hostel to use their crappy computer over the last week! Ah well...serves me right for being so thick!


So excited to see my britbabies again this weekend, its been one looooong year! Shame I only get to see them fairly briefly, but at least its better than nothing.

Good news tho! I've found a place here for Maz and I to live (at least temporarily anyways) starting Sept!

Its a huuuuuge loft share, with a guy who seems pretty cool/responsible (he walked me to the subway station when I left to make sure I was ok cuz it was dark!). Hes a dj/music producer and has got a little studio setup going on in the corner so at least we have something in common Apparently the building is full of creative people and they have parties on the (HUGE) roof!

There arent any walls in the loft, but we're not really too bothered right now...we'll just put massive curtains up or something! And apparently we can get some built later if we find it bothers us and we decide to stay there longer!?!?

Sooo...all is pretty much good. I've been watching/trialing classes at the performing arts studio we're gonna be going to and its a cute place, people seem nice enough and I'm well excited to just get cracking really! Please just keep ur fingers/toes/eyes crossed for me that I'll be able to get my student visa from the UK in time!!!

I just woke up from a 3 hour nap, spoke to my best mate Paull (who's meeting me from the airport on Sat - what a sweet<3!) for abit, and now its time for me to go find a Starbucks soy chai latte, come back and watch the Edward Scissorhands dvd I was so excited about purchasing at Minneapolis airport on the way here (cuz I thought I could watch it on the plane)...but then I couldnt cuz the plane was waaaaay too fucking loud and my headphones are crap! gutted.

Think the other people in my room hate me, cuz Im always coming in late, making noise(not much but when ur the only person making it its SO loud!) and texting/typing on my phone (and now my laptop too!)

Lemme know how you all are, I hope the answer is good...and if not, WHY not dammit?!

Haha no offence to any of you who live in Edmonton I just dont have any friends here so never really get to go out at night (a very integral part of my life!)or anything!

So...half the move is accomplished...can't wait for New York on the 11th, but I'm a little scared I have to admit...we havent found a place to live yet, so I'll be staying in a hostel when I get there, and I havent got my student visa yet, cuz I have to wait til I go back to the UK for 2weeks to sort that out! Also, I have so much luggage I have to have 2 trolleys at the airport which is absolute mayhem (my mates all know how clumsy I am!?!)
Anyone wanna come be my trolley dolly? haha

P.S. I took my labret stud out the other night, it was kinda bothering me and seemed like too much hassle, cuz I went to get it downsized and I swear the bastards jipped me and just put the same size in again, except thicker, grrr ...which involved the nob shoving something sharp and pretty fucking painful through my lip for the millionth time to stretch it out, whilst asking me 20 questions!?!?

Finally, the big journal update!

Got back from Toronto/Montreal on Thursday, and it was SUCH a fun holiday! There didnt seem to be much to do in TO except shop and go out, but that suited me and Hen fine so we did just that...we were only there for the first weekend, so that Saturday night we went to some new club where Felix Da Housecat was playing, got absolutely trashed, ended up in some afterclub and didnt emerge til 7am with the sunlight blazing in our bleary eyes!

Montreal was wikkid, I LOVE it! If I ever have to move to another Canadian city it will definitely be there. Did abit of sightseeing in the old part, went to the biodome/insectarium (LOL - we're such geeks) and went out nearly every night cuz there's just sooo many bars and cool places there... though we seemed to end up in Le Bifteck and Saphir rather a lot!?! I actually met the lovely Guillaume at his night at Saphir (u might have seen the pic in my comments b4), but he's actually kindof a dickhead :wink: haha j/k dear

Oh yeah! Before TO me and our other friend Maz went to LA again, cuz our friends' band were shooting a video...so that was cool hanging out and watching them filming etc. I randomly saw Roby and Hepburn outside the Roxy when I was there, which was cool! But then I got so drunk I couldnt have found them if I tried - doh! I got my labret pierced for free while I was there too, which I was really happy about until I found out the jewellery I had in was basically a load of crap so had to get a new stud put in when I got back here. I was sposed to meet some of the LA girls when I was there, but unfortunately things went abit wrong diddly wrong wrong and I couldnt make it, which I was uber gutted about

I'll make a new album in my pics for LA/Toronto/Montreal.

Soooo.....just one more thing

I'M MOVING TO NEW YORK NEXT MONTH!!!

Maz and I found out yesterday that we've both been accepted at an acting studio we applied to there, so there was much jumping up and down and screaming and dancing all around (and banging on my wall from my stupidwankybitch neighbour!) All 3 of us (me, Hen and Maz) are gonna be moving there, I'm SOOOOOOOOO excited and cant believe its actually happening cuz we've been daydreaming about it for months! Just hope we're gonna be able to find somewhere we can afford to live, and cash in hand jobs cuz we're not really gonna be allowed to work

I'm so happy to be getting outta this city. Dont get me wrong, the time I've had here has been fantastic while its lasted, but yknow when it feels right to leave...your time is up?

So all in all, things are going swimmingly and I'm a very happy bunny. I'm kinda scared ( as I always am when things are going a little too well) that things are gonna suddenly crash and burn (!) but ah well, fingers crossed

On a sadder note it'll be 4 years tomorrow since my dad died...I just hope all the things that are happening in my life right now are helping me on my way to making him proud of me...I only wish he could be here to see it.

Whoah!

So this could be abit of a lengthy journal entry everyone (just for a change yknow )

The last two weeks of my life have been so surreal! As I said in my last entry, went to see Muse the Monday before last, and as expected, they were fucking AMAZING. Matt Bellamy is GOD.

That actual day was the craziest day ever tho, me and my friend Marilyn randomly decided that morning that because I had2 days off work we were gonna try and get a flight to LA the next day to go and hang out with some new friends we made the week before (cuz their band was touring down there!) And, we succeeded in finding an uber cheap flight! So we persuaded Hen to come too So that day I was at work 9-5, then had a hair appt at 5:45, my acting class at 7:30 which I then had to leave early to go to the Muse gig, then home to pack and up at 6:30am the next day to go to the airport!!! Needless to say I felt like this that morning.

LA was possibly the funnest trip I've ever been on in my entire life, the 3 of us laughed SO much over the 2 days we were there I'm surprised my insides survived! The day we got there we went shopping down Melrose Ave and I got some wikkid red vintage boots mmm Ate traditional American food at Jonny Rockets (haha ) Picked up some local alternative paper with an SG article in which I was v excited about !

Then in the evening went to eat at some 24hour diner called Canters where we saw Ron Jeremy - we tried to take a sneaky photo of him but it didnt work Then Hen goes to the washroom, shes gone for aaages and I swear I can hear her talking from across the room (we all talk pretty loud so I was quite sure hehe) So M and I go over and shes talking to the mayor of sunset strip, Rodney Bingenheimer! Then somehow we end up changing into these t-shirts that him and the people he was meeting with are using for a book, and had a photoshoot outside with him by his car!?! Apparently the pics are gonna be in a "rock n' roll tshiirt book". He was lovin' Helen so much it was WELL funny, he kept wanting pics with her pressed up against him and shit LOL After that excitement we went next door to the Kibbutz Room where we had giant tequilas, got v wasted and danced (and danced and danced!)

Next day we rented a yellow convertible mustang and our friend Lee drove us to Santa Monica where we were tempted to eat at the Ivy just for the hell of it (but didnt cuz we're poor little sods ) then fell asleep on the beach for a while. When we woke up we drove back to the hotel in Hollywood via Malibu, Beverley Hills, Bel Air etc which we were all v excited about cuz we're geeks like that (hey c'mon, I've only ever heard of these places on tv/in magazines before LOL)

So second night out we went and had some gorrrrgeous thai food, then to Beauty Bar which only cemented our theory that Vancouver bars are shit, and got very drunk again(surprisingly enuff!) On the way from the bar to the car, we walked past a magazine stand where poor Lee tried to show us Kerrang with them on the cover, but failed miserably cuz we decided to randomly start wrestling in the street and all ended up in a tangled gurlie mess on the ground! I'm gonna put all the pics up in an album for you all to laugh at when I've scanned them in (we took over a 100 polaroids) cuz some things just cannot be described to full effect - like Marilyns oral fixation which resulted in several pics of her with various things shoved in her mouth, eg. 2 whole snowballs, my fist; Helen moonlighting as George Michael; the ghost of Beverly Hills and my drunken attempts at Yoga in the hotel room?!

It was so sad having to leave on Thurs, as we all completely fell in love with it there...we're actually considering going to stay again for a few months sometime in the next year. Whatever happens, that trip was definitely a catalyst for changes in my life towards progress/my career.

Since we came back, I had the grand opening (party) of the shop last Thurs which I had to work at, but there was much free alcohol flowing so of course we ended up steaming and went out after. The night after me and M went out for a meal at a posh seafood restaurant with work people cuz some distributors from Camper shoes were in town (for the party) and they were paying for it I ate an oyster for the first time ever cuz I'm trying to be more adventurous and it was minging! It tasted (and smelled) like the pier! The bill for 14 ppl came to $1900 and thats not including the insane amount of drinks bought for us at the bars we went to after I felt/looked soooo rough the next morning, work told me I didnt have to go in!

EeeEEEEeeee then last night, went to Planet of the Drums which I've been looking forward to for ages and was not disappointed! Mr. Andy C was WIKKID, we danced so hard the sweat was gross haha. AND!!! Highlight of the night - I ran into Miesha!!! We were both so excited, I you already sweetheart! Will DEFFO be giving u a call to hang out vvv soon, sorry I lost you at the end last night, I tried to find you again but maybe you'd gone?

Ok, well, I havent done ANYTHING productive yet today except this, so I should go now! Hope you're all doing really well, my computer's still br0ked so I'm not sure when I'll update again but I'll try and make it soon.

Fuck I'm so pissed off!!!

My computer is well and truly f00ked!!!! I cant even turn the damn thing on without it deciding to randomly shut down every 5 mins, so I've not turned it on for about 2 weeks now, as it simply makes me too angry! So right now I'm in an internet cafe, and its fucking pants cuz I wanna be able to hang out in SGland more again! I'm sorry to everyone for not replying to all ur comments/emails, I'm not being a stuck up biatch honestly! At least now u know why. *sigh*

According to Paull I need some worm blaster thing, so maybe I'll be able to figure out how to get that soon and fix it myself.

OK, enuff of that. How're you all anyways?? Hope you're all having fun whatever you're doing. Despite all the work I have been having fun too, went to a Lost Prophets gig on Tues, who were v good, Hello lads if u ever read this haha *wave*

Went shopping to my favourite asian/oriental mall yesterday, which was fun, but didnt have enuff time so only managed to get one top! I had bubble tea though so that made me happy. Paull I was sending u one in my thoughts chicken

Had abit of a crazy day at the shoe shop yesterday tho, there was one WELL PSYCHO lady customer but I felt like I handled her pretty well *pats self on back in congrats* hehe Ok, so the store was UBER busy and all the staff were rushing around helping ppl, and I could see her standing there holding this shoe, so I make mental note to help her as soon as I'm free. Next thing I know, I see her literally LOB THE FUCKING SHOE THROUGH THE AIR in front of everyone into the middle of one of the display tables and start to walk out the shop in a huff!!!! So I grabbed it, and ran after her to the front and was like "did u wanna try that on?!?!?!" with my cheesiest grin on my face! So in the end, she actually turned out to be ok and bought the shoes (thank god!) but when she was leaving I told her what my name was and said that next time if I'm working she can just shout that instead of chucking shoes around in the air! So then she thanked me for running after her and not throwing her outta the shop

5 weeks til I go to Toronto/Montreal wooo! Cant wait! But I hear that Meemee is moving to the UK at the end of May now so does that mean I dont get to meet u there now then sweetheart?!?!?! nooo!

Ok, I gots to go and eat, I'm starvin marvin, been bussing at the restaurant all day and havent had any food in about 10 hours!

Wow, so, I just finished replying to a lot of the comments in my journal, thanx so much everyone for all the luvverly jubbly stuff you've been saying to me, I really really appreciate it all, deffo makes me feel like it was worth all the effort I put into creating my set Oh, and getting perved on by some creepy old weirdo who was furrowing around in the park halfway through us taking pics and wouldnt go away when Hen told him to (to be honest I spose shes not really very scary tho) gah!

Hmm, what else? I'm sorry to anyone who might have sent me a friend request, and I havent done anything about it, but to be honest its abit overwhelming trying to look at everything and take it all in right now, and for some reason when I look at that page its abit f00ked up and theres like, spaces so I cant see all of them?!

Sooo, now I can actually write what I've been meaning to write about for ages, even though I should really be in bed cuz ive been at work all day, its 10 to 1 in the morning and I've gotta go back to work at 8am!!! Arrgh they're working me to the core! Moanmoanmoanwhingewhingewhinge sorry everyone! Oh and by the way thats why I havent been very good at updating recently, not, as Jonnnnny said, simply because I "suck balls" at it! Of course, WORK is a concept he's not very familiar with, so its expected that he wouldnt understand this hehe. (actually, I've heard he's being worked to the bone now, so it serves u right u cheeky bugger)

Ok, sooo, my 1st story is about my pet fish! About a month ago now, I got a siamese fighting fish, he's really cool and red, and his name's Fitsch (like Kitsch ) Finger. So then about 2 weeks after I got him, I decided he needed a friend, cuz I went to Petcetera to get a fish for my ickle cousin and u could buy one fish, get one free. So I got this black guppy type thing that the people assured me Fitsch Finger wouldnt batter...So I got the new one home, called him Sgt Pepper, and they looked pretty happy together!..Of course u can guess what happened next, I came home the next day to Sgt Pepper floating upside down at the top of the tank! Doh! Fitsch Finger's a fucking savage so no more friends for him!

Apart from work (Oh yeah! I quit the fucking hair salon before I'd even finished my training and my2nd job is now in a vvvv funky shoe shop! ) I have still managed to go out recently...I went to see The Sounds the other week, who were fucking wikkid, then stayed out til 3:30am and got absolutely steamin, then had to get up for work at the restaurant 3hours later, ouch!

Last week I went to see The Strokes who were also vvv good (well I thought so anyways, I know some people who disagree with me - how dare they!) and hmm, this week, theres been no gigs yet.

The night after the Strokes was when I ran into the lovely Starla at an Irish pub (haha!!!) but due to the lack of sleep etc I was a bit of a grumpy/antisocial gurlie that night, so it prolly wasnt the best time for her to meet me! Hope u can forgive me chick! Althought I was so excited to see her that I ran up and was like, "HEY HEY!! STARLA RIGHT!!"Lol what a gimp

I auditioned and have been accepted into the Theatre program at my uni - hurrah! - so at least I know for sure what I'll be doing in Sept now I also started an evening class in Acting for Film and TV last Mon, as I figured I need to get a bit of an insight into that side of things seeing as all my experience is theatre/street theatre based.

Was uber excited last week as I managed to put Cubase on my computer and kinda got our keyboard/mic etc set up, but then my computer (or the program, who knows?! ) is being a wazzock and wont work so now I'm upset and frustrated that we cant get cracking on the music yet grrr I need a big strong computer/music geek to come and help me sort it out *sigh* if only Paull was here, at least for the computer side of things

I thought I was getting ill t'other day, cuz I finally got 12hours of sleep one night, and yknow when ur body has been on autopilot for so long and then it comes to a screeching halt and runs smack bang into a brick wall? Well I think thats what happened, but *touch wood* my throat isnt so sore today.

OMG!!!! I know what else happened! Fuck how could I forget!!!?!??!? Helen and I booked our flights to Toronto/Montreal the other day!!!! EEEEEEEeeEEE I'm SOOOOOOO excited!!! We're going to Toronto for about 6 days and then Montreal for about 2 weeks in June/July!!! I CANT WAIT!!! It made working so hard seem worth it when I could actually pay for the ticket myself instead of having to scrounge off my mum!!! *happy Ren happy Ren*!!!

Ok shit, its getting later and harder for me to think straight and remember what else I had to say....I'm sure this journal entry is farrrr too long already anyway! All in all I am a very happy bunny at the moment, despite too much workness. My only complaint is that I'm not going to either of the Pixies gigs tonight or tomorrow But alas, what can ya do?
